Your post indicates you could have been using JACOB outside of a forced/loyalty mission situation? Is this true? I hope so. I have never heard of a person who actually used Jacob except when forced.

I've I'm on my 3rd run ( I guess technically 5th) and I can say that I have brought Garrus and Javik on every mission, not like in a row but I have had at least one or the other on every mission

Liara for ME1 and ME3. ME2 ended up being more random simply based on who I liked and when I got access to them.

Almost always take Garrus with me on missions. I only tend to leave him out on N7 missions because I feel as though I should share some of the kill count with other squadmembers.... can't let Garrus have ALL the cool war stories.
