Miranda in 2 and Liara in 3, she's the only Biotic (I didn't buy Javik, no DLC until the ending) and Miranda's weapon damage bonus in 2 made her a constant for me.

ME: Kaidan
ME2: No one really, possibly Miranda or Samara.
ME3: Kaidan

Garrus. I use him for absolutely every mission as often as possible. And Tali, but she always gets picked up later.

I'm glad both of them were squad members in all three games. I didn't care for Tali so much in ME1, but I really started to like her in ME2.

ME1: Tali and Garrus (because of utility)
ME2: Tali and Garrus (because of dialouge)
ME3: Tali/Garrus and Javik (because of utility and dialouge)

Javik's lines in ME3 are golden, so I my 2nd squaddie was picked based on who I was fighting.

Is Ash even useful in ME3? I feel like she misses her shots quite frequently. It doesn't really seem useful if..she's a soldier..relying on her guns..but she can't even shoot. Then again, I think it's just because she doesn't do much obvious power or cc (Liara singularity, EDI incinerate).

anyway, in ME3 I always brought Kaidan. He's my LI. Plus, he has amazing survivability and he can detonate biotic explosions and overload shields..pretty darn useful.

Throughout the trilogy, my go-to team has been Tali and Garrus.

It's Garrus for me, but really, why did he become so popular? I mean he's my boy, but honestly he wasn't all that great in ME1. Still ended up as my fave in that game, but Wrex probably had the better lines. I assumed his badassery was upped in ME2 as a reaction to fans, so what's the original appeal?

It's an interesting question. His dialogue was good, but he wasn't as snarky as Wrex or Tali in ME1. Looking back, I couldn't even say why. He just felt...right. I got the achievement for Garrus my very first time through.

I just started a playthrough with Ashley alive after i completed one with Kaiden ( and i managed to forget about you know what ) and yes Ashley is incredebly useless as a Squadmates . Her best ability is the Inferno Grenade but the rest is total garbage.

In the 1st I mixed them a lot but as everyone already knows Garrus is epic and since Liara was my LI her, also she has amazing biotic powers. In the 2nd I mixed them a lot too, just too many epic characters, but Thane/Garrus and Samara/Grunt were just hell awesome, also liked Miranda a lot and a favored Tali.In the 3rd think I played almost ALWAYS with Liara (since she's LI and I love her powers) Garrus or Tali.Didn't really pick anyone else.I liked Ash a lot too but I'm already a soldier so don't really need her.I guess it also depends what class a player would be and who could compensate.

Garrus and Tali in all three.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I love pretty much all the other squaddies, but I can't bring myself to use any others if I have the choice.

I rolled with Garrus more often than most, but I usually try to set my parties up with characters who might have some kind of connection to the task at hand.

ME1: Kaidan
ME2: Miranda
ME3: Kaidan

Kaidan because he's my LI and I adore him, and Miranda because I didn't really like anyone else in particular in ME2. Except Garrus, but he died every 3 seconds so bringing him along was a bit of a waste.
Now that I think about it, their classes and powers are practically the same (although I think Kaidan has more weapon damage)

ME1 Garrus and Wrex
ME2 Garrus and Thane (cant go wrong with 3 snipers in a squad. Basically shreds everything.)
ME3 Garrus and Liara (Liara plays crowd control while Garrus and I snipe)

Aye, I sorta had that same feeling. Probably started when he domed that thug in the clinic. "Turian Rebel" indeed! B)

I always went with the tactical biotic powerhouses to balance out my sniper ways:

ME1: Liara
ME2: Jack
ME3: Javik (because hes powerful and hey, he's a Prothean!)  James was a close second for how devastating he was but James is not a Prothean :)

Garrus. He was with me in ME1 and in ME2 throughout both games upon acquiring him. Pity we couldn't get Wrex too this time. Garrus and Wrex were the other two legs of the tri-pod I call "The DREAM TEAM!" I miss ME1 sometimes.

:crying:

ME1, Tali and Wrex for my main. Can't recall the others.

ME2, Tali and whoever's appropriate from a story PoV, then Garrus and someone else for my female character.

ME3: Tali and whoever the heck else. But by endgame, it was almost always Tali and Garrus. Brought Javik along regularly too.

So yeah, Tali as often as possible. Book Shepard would not have it any other way.
