Maybe NOW that there Promotion Event is over we can get a Bioware rep to Post here... Then again I don't think Heck has frozen over yet...<_<
>BEWARE< After promoting a class, you run the risk of corrupting your character.

How hard is it to have at least one Person left to man the forums though and reply to say, an issue affecting one there Community event that can address us with something
"Hey guys we see that there is an issue related to promoting, we are working to find and address the issue so please bare with us"
Seriously how hard would it been to have one guy post that message?

Guess what I saw after I wanted to spend some points after a level up:

Well, it would be worse the other way around or similiar; if you have not a single skill unlocked but still -87 points.

Happened to all of the classes I promoted except my Vanguard class. A bit irritating, but I don't think it happened to any of the characters I traditionally use. It still needs to be addressed though.

While I was searching, I found two more:

Weirdest thing: I've had two characters with the same name. One Engineer named Steven and one Sentinel. When I went to the appearance tab on the sentinel, it forced me to change the name since "that name is already taken by a character". That means until now, I had two Stevens.

Aye. I also promoted my Vanguard characters during Operation: Raptor and the same thing happened to my Vanguards. This has not occurred on any of the several other occasions I promoted a character.

I'd really like for my turian sentinal to be unbugged soon. It's all fun and games playing with a level 12 turian sentinal who has powers he can't possibly have ... until someone reports you as a cheater.

I've had the same issue with my SI. EA just directed me back here.
I figured levelling to 20 and promoting would fix it, although I've not got back up to 20 yet.
Any further clarification would be welcome.

I had this happen to me too on my Quarian infiiltrator, but not to any of the other characters in that class. I'll try a respec card on her and see what happens, but it will have to wait till I get home.
Good thing I don't use respec cards, and accumulated a few. Looks like I'll be using them till this gets patched.

Level them back up to 20, then promote again and hope/pray that it doesn't bug again.

/bump for justice
Since this happened to me the Store has bugged out again for me. Every purchase fails to process. Was working flawlessly until I got the negative points bug.

Happened to me with my Asari Vanguard over the weekend (the only one out of six promotions), but it hasn't had a negative impact on the game as far as I can tall. Since she'd been previously set up in the build I would use anyway, it's just made things a bit easier leveling up. But no issues with the store or anything like that.

Happened to me too. I promoted my Infiltrator and my Adept, but only my Infiltrator got the bug. Unfortunately, every Infiltrator I got (Human M, Human F and Quarian) is now bugged. Hopefully Bioware will fix this someday.
