>BEWARE< After promoting a class, you run the risk of corrupting your character.

I wonder how m,any emails EA has already received about the ****load of bugs this game has. And thy always redirect customers to this forum then where actually nothing happens. The game still has more bugs than a lot of games have during beta.
Let's just hope that the reasons they haven't fixed this bug, the vanguard bug, the connection bug, and every other bug that isn't quite so well known are that they're planning to fix them all at once in an upcoming patch. To be honest, I'd rather have them hotfix each bug as they come up with a solution for it, but they've alredy shown that they expect customers to wait with any bug that doesn't effect purchases (the inventory/weapons bug was fixed, but the corresponding connection issue that caused it is still there, have been told to wait until patch for fix).

Solution: buy the game for PS3/360
No thanks, I'd rather take full part in events than get it for PS3 and as far as either console goes, I'd rather have the fine motor control that M+K gives instead of being shoved into cover every single time I attemt to revive someone. Granted, the issue still exists on PC, but I've tried the 360 versions and the motor control is much worse.

... Or use a respec card...
I have never run into this issue but for a moment there I was worried... but if using a respec card is all it takes to fix it I don't really care.
It should be fixed, but I don't know... I'm kind of glad respec cards have a real use now!

Sadly, in terms of bugs, this game is right about average compared with others on the market. At least this game doesn't have some of the same game breaking, save ruining bugs that other games have (like any Bethesda game which is why I wait till the GOTY versions).

Have any characters reset for a class that you didn't promote? I promoted Sentinels and Soldiers. Turian Sentinel has the bugged powers. The female Infiltrator (not the entire class, just that character) reset like I never played it.
Yes, male and quarian engineer did for me, the only class i havent promoted at that time (just did, wonder if i get negative points on these too)

If you level them to 20, they'll behave exactly as if they were level 20; it basically is a bug with promoting that locks in the characters as they were when you promoted.
Respecing should in theory fix it, not doing anything and hitting 20 (or whatever level you last spent points on them) will fix it. Promoting again will ave no problems, either. This is only a problem if you were promoting just to reset your spec.

I mentioned I promoted all but 1 of the 6 classes. Well 3 more characters are now corrupted. This is just rediculous. I think I'm finished with multiplayer until they finish up their open beta testing... my god

So a respec card fixes this problem? Then just use one. I have like 20.

I don't understand your level 1-19 is as powerful as a level 20? Simple fix is to keep playing till level 20 and wait for a respec card or promote the class. Once you get that it will fix it. This doesn't seem as big as the Falcon blank round bug or the vanguard glitch through game bug which can't be fixed unless bioware patches it.
The whole point in general of promoting is refunding all your skill points to spend your points in different ways. Of course there are other reasons such as this weekends event, or for the sake of upping your N7 rating.
Fact is, it's a huge pain in the backside to be forced to level up to 20 twice to fix this glitch if you aren't lucky and get any respec cards. Respec cards were not designed to be "bug fix" cards. We shouldn't have to use them in this manner.
All of these bugs/glitches affect everyone in all kinds of ways, it doesn't make certain ones more relevant than the other. I really just wish Bioware would hotfix these issues, and most of all actually communicate with the community itself. Their silence to these problems is my biggest turn off to this once amazing game developer.
