Favorite human squadie, even though that doesn't say TOO much..

Liked that he was more of a casual, realistic kind of guy. Not all openly emotional that many fictional characters tend to overdo..

I thought he was pretty cool.

Had potential, but like nearly every other character in that debacle of a game, he failed to have enough time to actually develop any meaning to me. One scene where he asks me about the N7 program isn't enough to flesh out a character.

As he is, he's just a generic latino marine with a temper that he tries to keep level.

I liked Vega! Out of the new characters on the Normandy he was my favorite along with Prothy.

He doesn't have the sarcasm but he still the joke-cracking and reckless guy of the team (Like Garrus). I'd point out some more similarities out but that would include spoilers.

He only gets some hate because his human and so doesn't have a free pass.

True, but I don't think it was necessary to include another N7 wannabe. We already have the VS becoming a Spectre and now Vega and his N7 offer. Everything that made Shepard special is being handed out to other characters (and, to be honest, compared to Shepard they're all small potatoes).

All that lumpy muscle still creeps me the hell out, but personality-wise he kinda grew on me.

I thought Freddie Prinze Jr. did a good job with Vega. I didn't like the character's "look" and I didn't like how my character automatically called him "cute" just because I was nice to him. I had no other problems with the character though. He's cool.

Fair enough, that's cool, but I can imagine that he would be the only peson in the galaxy to call Renegade Shepard 'Lola' and not get a new space blown between his eyes.

Therefore, he is ace.

He was a bit of a cliche, but i liked him anyway. Also he's my most used squadmate, he's very useful for most classes.

To be honest, I thought I'd find him as interesting as Jacob from ME2 (My friend and I jokingly called Jacob the blandest man in the universe...) but I was actually surprised at just how much character they had actually managed to pad into him, even if he is 'Just' a marine.

Yeah, he was kinda corny, but I genuinely liked him. I don't get why there was such a backlash about his addition to the roster. After all, we got a ton of new characters added in ME2, and nobody whined about that, right? So why not have new squaddies in 3?
