Is it true that once you reach 95% Galactic Readiness, it will never fall below 95%? This is just something I read while doing a Google search on Galactic Readiness.

If this is true, then that's awesome and I won't need to worry about Galactic Readiness.

If this is false...then something needs to be done about only being able to improve Galactic Readiness through mutliplayer or iOS.

Could just get rid of Galactic Readiness entirely, that'll take care of the probelm; I just hate how it seems like you're being punished in the game for not playing multiplayer or the iOS games.

I pretty sure the only level it never goes below is the default 50%.

It's false. Galactic readiness has fallen into the low 80s when I've not been doing multi-player. It doesn't really matter anyway. Don't worry about it.

I agree.. it stops the flow of the game. You have to stop game play and do MP... that takes forever .

You loose 1% readiness every 6 hours after you last played a round of multiplayer.

Weird...'cos I haven't played mp i quite some time now, but my readiness rating is still at 100%.

Wow...that was some fast responses.

BioWare does known that in order to play multi-player, 360 owners have to pay for Gold status...and keeping the readiness rating high takes many hours of playing and less time on single player...

Galactic Readiness is just plain cruel...way to punish the players...

Galactic readiness is as annoying as getting to the war terminal in the normandy.

To me Gold status isn't that big of a deal. It's what, 60 bucks for a year?

I have it mainly for access to Netflix on my 360, but it also comes in handy on the very few occasions I play an online game.

Honestly, you can get like 10% from quickly failing through 3-4 bronze games after wave 2.

To some people, like me, we don't have $60 we can just drop for Gold status. I'm a full time college student and am lucky that my parents give me $20 a week for doing chores.

Well, then unfortunately that's part of owning a 360. PS3 offers free online play, I believe.

Not trying to be snobby or anything, but it seems like if people can afford a full retail game, then they can afford to save up for the online requirements of their console.

You have a point, but my main point is players shouldn't be punished for not playing online.

I will agree with you on that. They should have made sure all players can get all possible variations to the ending without having to do anything outside of single player.

Agreed. I would buy some Gold status, but I want to save my money at the moment for the action figures...I'm a geek when it comes to collecting figures of something I love...and I will go mad if I don't get that Miranda figure;or she's canceled again...MUST HAVE FAVORITE CHARACTER!!!!!

So Galactic Readiness doesn't really mean anything, right?

If you don't promote your characters to get them as war assets, this GR # (whether it is 50% or 100%) has no impact on anything other than role playing as far as I have read...

And by the way, getting to lvl 20 on a class in MP takes a considerable amount of time...

Hmmm, I just did some more reading...I did not notice that Galactic Readiness was a modifier on Total military strength...

Now I get it.

If you play on xbox and disconnect the internet connection and console as soon as you get to 100% readiness after saving and then providing when you play don't play for more than 2-3 hours before turning off the console again and then reload and save over your existing save carefully keeping the timestamp at 12:00 pm @ 01/11/2005 then you can keep Galactic Readiness maxed out the entire time.

It's annoying as hell but much less hassle than being forced to keep playing multiplayer everyday at this point. Untill a fix I don't see any other practical option.

Agree. Many people say, that is posible without MP, but I don't see how you can get 10k Assets, which is 5k required at 50% readiness. At best I only menaged to get around 6.9 - 7.1k

It affects which endings you can get by changing your EMS. It is required for the 'Shepard Breathes' scene at the end of the destroy ending.
Max potential non-multiplayer EMS: Around 3900
Required for 'Shepard Breathes' scene: 4000 if Anderson is alive, 5000 if Anderson dies.

So that is 3900 with galactic readiness of 50%?

A very small amount of time would be needed in MP to get to 4000 - a little bit more for 5000...

That's why I always play a game before I start SP.
