If you play on xbox and disconnect the internet connection and console as soon as you get to 100% readiness after saving and then providing when you play don't play for more than 2-3 hours before turning off the console again and then reload and save over your existing save carefully keeping the timestamp at 12:00 pm @ 01/11/2005 then you can keep Galactic Readiness maxed out the entire time.
It's annoying as hell but much less hassle than being forced to keep playing multiplayer everyday at this point. Untill a fix I don't see any other practical option.
LoL, that has to be annoying
Anyway, is the most brilliant thing I've read so far to work aroung game mechanics. The only problem is that you need to have the gold account and have to play till 100%.
I'm so lucky to be a pc player

When you promote a class in MP, you get 75 points towards your War Assets.
If you promote 100 classes, thats 7500 War Assets or 3750 EMS at 50%.
Playing a regular run through of ME3 would get you the rest to make 5000 EMS.

I don't think that you ever reach a point of readiness that prevents the percentage from dropping.
HOWEVER
If you disconnect your console from the internet, your readiness will not drop. I found this out on accident; I don't have wifi/wireless internet, and dragging an ethernet to my PS3 is a pain.
So, if you hate multiplayer, and you don't normally play games online, I would just spend an afternoon on multiplayer and then disconnect from the internet until you finish the game.
