I want it set in the Teventer Imperium during the next blight. More classes would be nice too so I can replay with more variety next time.  They could go into their constant wars with the Quinari, the elven slave trade, the imperial chantry, and the dominance of mages.  I think that would be by far the best location because there is so much lore to explore.  I sort of picture the design of the Imperium to be sort of like the Roman Empire in its waining days, so you could have some pretty epic archatrcture to work with.

Except I want there to be a different kind of Blight. As in there being two Archdemons. I don't want this to be the same Blight like we had in Ferelden. I want a huge one. A different one. This would make the situation more dire than it is. And why not have it take place AFTER the original Dragon Age? As in, a year or two apart, so we can jump into the shoes of our character by transferred save-files from the previous installment. That way, all the decisions that you made back in the original Dragon Age will influence part of the story. I don't want all the stuff we did in the original installment to be all for naught.

Transferring save-files:  Now I don't want the game to be a Mass Effect with swords and all, but I think we deserve a  chance to see what happens to your companions after the 5th. Blight ended. I mean, during the Post-Coronation, weren't you wondering how your companions will treat and view you afterwards? And there are even some companion story-plots that haven't been resolved yet. Leliana? Lohgain? Alistair? Morrigan? Shale? Wynne? Zevran? Doesn't anybody else feel that these characters' stories are not done yet?

Origins: I still want to see some origins in game. I think that BioWare could resort to two origin-types: Continued Origins(as in your previous character(s) hence the save-files transferring) and New Origins(where you start off as a new character from a totally different background). And maybe as your New Origin character, you can meet some of your old companions?

Both Orlais and Tevintar: Now why stop with one country when you can have multiple? While this may come off as wishful thinking, I think it can be done...somehow. Though it would take a lot of writing and story-planning.

Tevintar meets it's match: Yeah, we know that the Tevintar Imperium is similar to the Byzantine Empire. In the Byzantine Empire, we had Constantinopple. While on the Tevintar Imperium, we have Minrathous. Both were thought to be unconquerable. So if the Tevintar Imperium is modeled after the Byzantine Empire, who's to say there is an other enemy lurking in Thedas modeled after the Ottomans, the very ones the conquered Constantinopple? Now that's what I want. A new enemy of a different culture. I know I may look like I'm fantasizing, but it may be an opportunity to introduce a new race or new empire/culture in the world of Dragon Age. Plus, I wanna see guns.

More dark themes: Eh, yeah, more creepy themes such as the Broodmothe or Hespith.

Any opinions?

Personally, I would also love to see more "big battles" where it's not just "you have to win" or don't show and then lose, like redcliff, but rather like, If you don't recruit enuogh people, before the blight attacks (insert town here) then that town may be damaged, decreasing the economical flow of things, or outright ruining the town. You could hire mercenaries to help, or try and use your combat knowledge if you're a warrior to help train the citizens, or if you're a rogue, go plant some traps around, or if you're a mage open a portal to the fade, or summon a bunch of monsters, or ask the circle, ect. Also, some kind of elaborate option to control groups of the people helping the town in some sort of Bird's eye view of the battle (on consoles).

You know, make the battles more tactical, and maybe if you have combat tactics skills, you could use those to help the fight even more, maybe that is what could allow your birds eye view thing.

anyone have any opinions on this?

Also, I like this idea. Making battles more dynamic would be interesting. I didn't like how linear the Battle of Redcliffe was.

I believe it is mentioned that the Qunari are at war with the Tevinter Imperium? I always saw them as being the Ottoman Turk analog. They are also described as being very adept with gunpowder. I'd love to see Qunari society and learn more about their religion.

Actually I would not like to see a DA:O2, would rather want a new game on the same platform, that or just enhanching the current DAO but that is just me... if going DA:O2 though involve it in the D&D universe instead, would grant way more lore to the game as in shown for DAO now it really lacks lore for good.

People say there is alot of lore to explore, but as it is now it is merely a LOTR copy in some ways, people playing the game probably have noticed that.

Add multiplayer, else the game would ruin itself

I want a Codex that talks to me, like in Mass Effect. I'm not a big fan of long texts to tell you the truth. at least while I'm playing a game. otherwise I would read a book

Well, I guess they would do. Besides, I'm just as interested in the Qunari as you are. Perhaps Minrathous will get conquered by the Qunari in the second game?

I honestly believe that dragons should have more of a part in the next game, the dragon cult was nice to join and it was cool to drink dragon blood in the game but I felt it could have had a much greater impact on the story, however this RPG is going to be a timeless classic and shall forever remain next to The Witcher on my RPG game shelf. No skills auto selected on character creation. Man this is really starting to tick me off with games these days, why do you devs do this? You rarely choose skills remotely appropriate for the character, it's not just Bioware either.

No locked Specialisations. Yeah, make it so that you have to meet certain requirements or do certain quests but to hide them in areas so that you don't get the one you want until level 15 is very annoying. Or like that Morrigan one, she says she won't teach you because she doesn't know you so you work on her approval and get it to 100, heck you can even romance her so she loves you but still won't teach you. I hunt around on the 'Net and effectively cheat by looking this info up and find that her approval has to be under 30, seriously, WTF!?

More Weapon types. Some polearms that can be used from a "second rank" would be nice.

Allow Poisons and Runes to work on bows. Why this wasn't in the current game is beyond me. A lot of cultures in real life, have or still do, apply poison to missile weapons and in game the poison only lasts a limited time so why isn't this on bows? Bows rely on very limited ammo supplies for special effects yet melee weapons get poison, mage buffs and runes. The runes being a constant and unlimited effect until removed by an enchanter.

Make crafting components cheaper. As it stands it's more expensive to buy the required components than to buy the finished product, mainly heal and mana pots, and that's after you take the harvestable components out of the cost.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

we have all the classes we need but i would like specializations to make more of a difference in the way your character plays. all they really do is give slight differences.

more origins. the origins are my favorite part of this game.

I want to see a huge, sprawling city.  Something a bit more high fantasy.  I like the city settings more than dungeon/forest.

Like I said, let it take place in multiple counties. Such as Orlais, Tevintar, and maybe Navarra. Everyone is happy.

Definitely agree with you on the transferring save-files. I for one am curious as to what happened to the characters after the game and would like to see this in the next game. I also think it would be cool to continue on with your character as well to the next game. Maybe this is where the game will pick up next?

Yeah, I have a feeling. I can't help but feel that the options that you make at the Post-Coronation were there for a reason. Like, something to influence the next game? Don't you think so?

how is the origins better than the main game!? The main game is like 50 hours with the origins being a hour each about. How can that compare to the main game!?

I would like to see a zombie companion joining your team? Someone that died and came back to life through magic or something that looks like a zombie and we learn all cool stuff about him...

I would like to see a in-game calender that takes travel time between areas into account and have that effect the general storyline.

If some villager comes out of the woods to ask you to save his village, you might have to actually turn him down on account of the bigger picture and time being a factor in the over-arching storyline.

mooarr of everything. balanced classes if possible. it would be nice to play the game with all warriors or rogues or mages or any combination without grimping yourself too much. if possible no fade bonus or books that adds stuff coz i think thats makes up for the unbalanced things or to par up with your companion's stat bonuses. spears pole arms! sparta! err yeah hehehe. more skills and how about hybrid classes like in mass effect??

moral choices should be fair, so good evil or balanced everything has a price. think err witcher?
more armors items equipments. potion price increase lol and stamina potions, lyrium for your templar and chance to make him crazy lol.

edit: coz i want moooaarr

I'd like it to be set maybe a century later, with the beginning of the industrial revolution underway with maybe some lands outside of thedas (which resemble asia/ africa/ the americas, etc.) being discovered. I mean, for DAO to become a breathing universe for me it has to evolve, which your choices in the first game obviously having a bit of effect on the second.

I'd like to see the quanri as a playable race, with two origins for them, i'd expecially like to see a female quanri.

New origins would be nice, maybe two mage origins (Apostate or Maleificar?), some similiar to theoriginal ones (Like Daelish elf, dwarf commoner, etc.) and of course some original ones.

A party consisting of:

A female dwarf, elf and quanri, maybe a demon/ werewolf party member.

I'd also love to get out of Felredan a bit. :)

More monsters.
Better pacing of the story.
Redone quest/codex menu.
More Armors/Weapons. There should be gearing progression instead of waltzing through the game in the same set of armor.
More Armor/Weapon models.
More gear for every class.
Redone quest/codex menu.
Optional superbosses who are somehow included in the (back)story.
Balanced trees. No useless / good / downright broken.
Balanced classes.
"Better" zones. More variety. More colours. Not alway red, brown, green and black.
Redone quest/codex menu.
More sidequests that are actual sidequests like the Urn.
A certain world, redone so it doesn't look and play boring in small, confusing rooms.
A more complete game from the start. Not a game filled with holes that are later put in through charged DLC. If you want to do DLC, include stuff that's not important backstory. I don't like the MMO paid business model for a singleplayer game.
Redone codex/quest menu.
Non-tank 'n spank boss battles. Changing environment during the battle.
Bigger bosses.
Redone codex/quest menu.
More Dragons. Kind of strange, since the game IS called Dragon Age.
Did I mention a redone quest and codex menu? Come on, a bit of console love here.

Basically. Finish the game, and then start again, changing stuff that wasn't good enough.
