Transferring save-files:  Now I don't want the game to be a Mass Effect with swords and all, but I think we deserve a  chance to see what happens to your companions after the 5th. Blight ended. I mean, during the Post-Coronation, weren't you wondering how your companions will treat and view you afterwards? And there are even some companion story-plots that haven't been resolved yet. Leliana? Lohgain? Alistair? Morrigan? Shale? Wynne? Zevran? Doesn't anybody else feel that these characters' stories are not done yet?

Definitely agree with you on the transferring save-files. I for one am curious as to what happened to the characters after the game and would like to see this in the next game. I also think it would be cool to continue on with your character as well to the next game. Maybe this is where the game will pick up next?

Yeah, I have a feeling. I can't help but feel that the options that you make at the Post-Coronation were there for a reason. Like, something to influence the next game? Don't you think so?

Oh most definitely!

I would like to see this in DA 2:

More class specializations (there's lots of potential for Dalish magic users, Qunari engineers, Dwarven paragons, ect.)

A Qunari racial option during character creation, and maybe a new race could make an appearance, though that's not a huge issue for me.

More weapon variety would be nice, especially spears (and yes, I would like bowstrings, the ballistas have strings in game so it's not a stylization issue as some have claimed).

More freedom of exploration (jumping, swimming, climbing) though it isn't a huge issue with me.

New inventory system, the BG 1 inventory system was great I thought, the ME style group inventory is a step backwards.

One more party slot would be nice, 4 party members is still just a bit too small to fit everyone I'd like in a group for my PCs, though not a huge issue.

Followup stories on NPCs from the first DA, maybe encounters though I'm sure our PCs won't carry over into the second game.

An updater that isn't so darned difficult and user unfriendly to some people.

Zombie Loghain, every game needs a zombie Loghain, and zombie Duncan.

Overall, great game, DA:O is very cool and Bioware did a great job!

- More races (that means more origin stories).

- New classes.

- Close the "Ferelden and The Blight" chapter and create a new main storyline. No more Blight and "dark forces are coming" stories, please.

- No more Ferelden, a sequel should take place at the other parts of Thedas.

- A new cutscene system, where our characters not only interact the cutscenes with dialogues, but with action also.

- Make camping more interesting.

- Make the groups 5 or 6 characters like Baldur's Gate. Too many characters left aside with only 4.

- A sequel could take place in a different age, but that way the game wouldn't be called "Dragon Age" anymore. If the sequel will still set in Dragon Age era then it could be 20-30 years later after The Blight and invasion of Ferelden.

- Morrigan, Leliana, Sten, Oghren etc. stories are over now. Put all new NPCs in the sequel. Don't stick with the same characters over and over again. A whole world of interesting new characters out there Bioware can create.

- Please add a sound for our main character. Mass Effect had a great cinematic experience at the cutscenes. Not be able to hear our character damages cinematic feel of Dragon Age at the cutscenes.

- MOST IMPORTANTLY: This is a role play game, make our main character's decisions able to change the main story in great ways. Dragon Age and Mass Effect are both great games, but whatever we chose to do, the main story will be the same except a few twists. That's a general problem of all the RPG games.

1) More skin, option for no bra.

2) More specializations and skills/spells, especially if I continue with my level 22 char.

3) Alternative endings depending on path chosen. Possible huge story twist of main storyline.

4) Greater variety of weapons. Skill/Ability to craft own weapons and/or armors. Armors being able to take damage with option to repair them.

5) Reactions of game world to being blood mage, pickpocketing in some cases even to burglary (lockpicking).

6) More cutscenes of e.g. visions.

7) Head of decapitated enemy lying on ground instead of vanished.

8) Unarmed combat like a monk with fists and kicks.

9) Flemeth :)

10) Polearms like long spear, halberd

What I would like to see improved in a potential sequel:

- Party of 5 members. So there is room for the dedicate healer/buffer :D. And so you have more options to play with all the members of the cast since I love all of them!

- City area should be bigger, on the like of Baldur's Gate and Amn.

- There should be more difference between different encounters and there should be different tactics to face different foes, just like BG. So, a larger bestiary and less scaling (even at the cost of less free roaming, since I'm not interested a lot in that kind of games and I prefer story driven games). Level design with less carnage and more tactics, like Orzamar's dungeons or final onslaught fights wich were very good and fun to play imho.

- I like the combat system but the stamina/mana/potions system should be revisited a little bit to avoid pots dependency (the five slot in the party would solve that problem with one move and the system would look more elegant).

- The talent/spells system and the class system are really good. They just need a little bit of polishing and rebalancing here and there. In general, I think that Mages and Rogues are fine overall. Some talents/spells need to be nerfed a little bit. Other talents/spells need to be pumped a little bit. But overall the system for that classes is fine (even if there should be more relevant attributes for mages a part Magic and Willpower, just like the other classes). Instead the the warrior tree need more work. Some of 4th tier talents needs to be pumped, the specializations should be reworked (a part the champion one wich was the best of them) and there should be a third talent line in the general warrior tree about speed/damage/armour penetration (so if you reach the high levels you have still something useful to choose). Ah, Lokpicking should be a skill and not a talent imho.

- Improved and smarter AI system (monster should not attack you while force fielded and the such).

PS: I forgot, improved loot system. I mean, it's ok that there is not an overflow of magic items D&D style. But boss drops should be better. Morevoer, unique items drops should not scale on the level you take them. Finally, there should not be easy DLC unique items that you can take without questing.

Having said that, the game is great as it is and it's the best RPG I've played in years.

Allow for multiplayer- have it so 4 friends can sit around lanning, or not, and each create a unique char for them and play the campaign.

6 player parties.

More unique weapons & armor, as well as components to build rare weapons.

The quoted material,  plus more monster variety, more romance options/range, and perhaps if you have 6 player parties, 2 must be npc and the other 4 can be pc.  The music score rocks in this game so more of the same there.

Lose the pause feature.
Lose the tactics and write some intelligence for the companions.
Do something with the battle system, it's painfully boring as it is. Lets me swing with my sword block with my shield, kinda like Oblivion I guess.
And lose EA. (Can't be helped I know)
More skill info.
Let me see the skills I apply to an enemy. Maybe a health bar could pop up when you select an enemy showing what skills it's affected by and the duration.
Some kind of mulitplayer w/o a monthly fee.
It isn't a terrible game. It looks great, sounds great and celeb voices makes this a winning game. But it could have been better.

My opinion about the battle system:

Keep pause and tactics. Why would I want to let the computer do the thinking alone? :P

i'd agree with more specializations. I'd also remove classes. Just go with one class and allow the player to choose x amount of "lines." Or at least allow this option after the first playthrough, to make a totally custom class without having to crack the game.

Multiplayer !!! at least lan and over the internet... and in a perfect world, a standalone server. I would start creating a  persistent world/server right now If if knew we would get that !!!

Single player is fine for some time but I loose interest really fast if I can't play with friends at least.
This is THE thing that this game need, all the rest gonna be perfect with a couple patch.

Definitively more class specialization...

If I'm going to focus on combat, here is what I want to see:

- Just like Blizzard did in WoW,move away from the tank and spank approach with boss fight.I wanna see boss use special attack(with unique spell animations) or juge aoe blast with damage over time effects or stuff like that. From a gameplay standpoint, there is a lot to improve in term of combat scripts and encounters.I would love to see encounters similar to Kil'Jaeden.4 horsemans or Blackwing where you need huge aoe to kill ton of adds before facing the boss or having 2 tanks or one main and off tank to handle strong adds.

- If encounters could require up to 2 tanks,5 or 6 party members would be ideal. B)

- More creativity when it come to healing spells, since the basic heal and heal over time is rather meh.Blizzard moved far beyond that with spells like regrowth, lifebloom, penance, spirit of redemption, swiftmend, etc.

- Warrior and rogue should have more elaborate physical attacks. The animation for whirlwind is really underwhelming, especially when you look at a mage using storm of the century.

- It's wishful thinking on my part, but I would prefer having a sense of an organic world out there. No locations connected together by a map where you just point and click to travel.Even the Mass effect team is moving away from that in the sequel. You will move your ship around planets and scan them yourself to find ressources(on console, the controller will shake when you find something),to give a better feeling of interactivity to the game.I want roads, lakes and forests in between dungeons or towns. It's disappointing to see a small sample of the world in a random encounter.I demand a minimum of exploration from the next Dragon age game.

Thematic consistency, vistas at the end of long quests/hard fight, fewer kicks in the cherry picker endings.

Mechanically, higher level caps, more talent lines.

I would like to see more subtlety in the romance stuff.

lovers holding hands when they're are standing still for a bit.

audio snippits (e.g. "may i get the door for you?" when a door is opened.

"hide helmet" option (less I missed that)

a "faction" influence rating. Party characters have they're own influence. I would like to see some of a game world broken up into 'factions' that react according to your 'influence' with them.

completely agree, would be really fun to have an online option where you could have a friend as one of your party members, im not sure how this would work for a storyline though, unless of course you played through the entire game with your friend too.

I would like to see more robes for the mages, more items.
And the potions in Dragon Age were useless, I would want to see str potions and dex potions and stuff, like something that makes a character do more damage or evade attacks.

I would want more classes and characters that you can kill off but be reprimanded because I mean most people dont like to kill off their party members but if they do they could at another character. There should be really evil party members and Good party members.

Make a harder difficulty than nightmare, up Warriors and rogues a little and nerf mages a little.

MORE dragons to kill, like fodder dragons, different types of dragons

Better Sub classes, shapeshifter and templar are worthless in my opinion
Cant think of anymore at the moment.

Maybe we could go into the back story of dragon age of the rings. We could see how the orcs came about and fight along side Jesus, god and the church....I mean andraste, the maker and the chantry.
