Lose the pause feature.
Lose the tactics and write some intelligence for the companions.
Do something with the battle system, it's painfully boring as it is. Lets me swing with my sword block with my shield, kinda like Oblivion I guess.
And lose EA.
Some kind of mulitplayer w/o a monthly fee.

Epic fail.

Definitely.  Origin Age stank the big one with it's lore.   Skeletons are DEMONS, Zombies are DEMONS, the fade is DEMONS,  mages are about DEMONS,  treants are DEMONS, spirits are DEMONS,  dragons are DEMONS,  darkspawn are led by DEMONS, everything is DEMONS, your mum is a DEMON, it's all about DEMONS, you have to poo because of DEMONS.

O Noes!  Demon poo!

The opportunity to start from scratch with at least two characters. I hate it how Morrigan is a shapeshifter and has useless skills. Gah.

And yet there are many of us who absolutely do NOT want that.  We want the game to be about a SINGLE player-created hero.

I don't want a DA:O 2, but instead some expansion packs that add whole new regions. There is so much that can be done with this game.

Kill It!!! make a DA:O 2.

From the looks of things Bioware has a pretty solid audience and I seriously doubt they will be going anywhere except TOR.

Perheps a wider world? like u chould head to Orlies (or whatever it's spelled like :P). And defently some better mage armor, and perheps some new models of every armor. I mean Massive Armor looks exacly the same, beside that dwarf armor which is anyways ugly, beside that every peac looks the same. whould like to see more models :)

Huh...I had no problem with the trailer not matching myself. Sure, you got a slight different vib from it than in the game, but hey, it was an early hype trailer that was close enough, and I was happy with the in game results anyway.

You have to be honest:Wouldn't you want that DA:O looked like the trailer?I know it's almost impossible that way,but allthough i don't "hate" the current graphics of DA:O but come on,compared to the trailer it's not 1 but 10 steps back.

What would I like to see in Dragon Age Origins Part 2?

1 - Better written and more drawn-out romances. The current romances are very short and abrupt, and effect very little in the game. What happened to the days of Baldur's Gate 2 where our love interest was captured? Yes, I want something like that. And then some.

2 - Higher Resolution Armor Textures and more models. There's only about 4 different models for each armor class, and only four or five different models for weapons, even less sometimes.

3 - Hide Helmet / Hide Weapon Animations (Lightning, Flames, Cold, etc.)

4 - More companion quests. The amount of companions in Dragon Age is more than enough for me, however they need more quests.

5 - More character customization options. I don't mean body tatoos or anything like that. Just more Hair, Beard, Color Options, etc.

6 - Ressurect David Warner and have him do the voice work of the new antagonist Image IPB

7 -  Absolutely No Multiplayer! Under ANY circumstances. When you impliment Multiplayer, the Plot and Immersion suffers. I have yet to play ANY multiplayer game with a good plot. I cannot stress this enough... NO MULTIPLAYER! Keep it Single-Player! (I don't count BG2 as a real 'Multiplayer' game)

8 - As far as Nudity goes, I don't mind. Not blatant PC or Companion NPC Nudity however. More like the Druids in The Witcher. That made sense. They're a fey nature being, they're not going to worry about clothes. And Desire Demons... I'm sorry but for a creature that supposedly deals in lust it's a bit ridiculous to have the entire breast exposed but a LITTLE chain convienantly covering the nipple.

9 - Longer and more seamless plot. I didn't like how it was done in Dragon Age, it was exactly like it was in ME. I prefer the plot style of Baldur's Gate 2. The plot in BG2 gave you a sense of urgency, but also allowed you to do many side-quests because of the need to collect 20,000 gold for Ghaelen for the Shadow Thieves aid in rescueing Imoen. I loved this. I felt I had to do the side-quests 'cuz I wanted to rescue Imoen. I loved in Baldur's Gate 2 how I thought the game was going to end several times but it just kept going.

10 - No more titles. Being called "him," and "Grey Warden" got old. I do like how Mass Effect did it. Have a good last name for your PC that can be spoken as if it were a First Name. Take my last name, O'Callahan. That would NOT make a good last name for your character to be acknowledged as. It's too long and doesn't roll off the tongue sinuously.

I'd want an even longer story in some place other than Ferelden. Maybe Orlais or Tevinter?

Also, more weapon choices. The whole staff field seemed a little limited.

I'm not sure what you mean by DA 2.. I'm looking forward to expansions for DA:O...

I'd like to see a larger variety of companions, and a larger party size (I agree with whomever said 6 as a good number for the party size).

A better item drop table.

The ability to create more than one character for your party IE NwN 2 SoZ.

A keep that grows/is modified over time.

The ability to send companions party members not currently used in the party on missions/quests pursuing rewards or to unlock plot/storylines, IE NwN 2 with the patroling generals or Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, but with the possibility that said companion could permanently die during that mission/quest.

I would like to see a in-game calender that takes travel time between areas into account and have that effect the general storyline.

If some villager comes out of the woods to ask you to save his village, you might have to actually turn him down on account of the bigger picture and time being a factor in the over-arching storyline.

Extremely unlikely.  Bethesda tried that in their earlier Elder Scrolls games.  People absolutely hated it.

Well...think about it, as a rock golem Shale has no technical gender. It's an it, and it can only remember being an it so even by it's personal veiwpoint Shale has no gender and never will.

Actually, even though it might have been mentioned before, I just thought that is might be a fun little feature. You know how every time you start a new character it keep track of them under there own personal files? How about if you play all the way through an origin and the finish the game in the next came you can enounter your previous characters in little hidden special events such as boss battles, hired hands, a part of the soldier summons from the grey warden troops, or mini-missions. Depending on their origin they will be in locations relating to their 'place' in that senerio. Of course, they couldn't directly interact with you as, in the game, your characters don't really know each other, but some referances to them made by other npcs or a situation where you end up fighting one of your old characters during a random encounter in the woods might be a fun little toast to a player who enjoys the replay value of the game.

I agree it would add a mini-game element to it as well as a hub for future sidequests. Custom managing the defenses of your own personal town and how your castle looks at the end of the game depend on who you favor the most of your army...It's a cool idea.B)

Spell system in DAO needs to be tweaked.

The mages in DAO can press the I WIN button over and over and over and over and over and over again. They are not limited in any way because mana restores itself so rapidly between battles and you can just keep chugging the infinite number of mana potions during battles.

A major disadvantage of a mana system is that with a mana system you tend to fall back on just repeatably casting your most powerful spell while the lower level spells get ignored. With a memorization system (BG series) it encourages yout to make the most off all your spells from lvl 1 to max simply because you have only a few uses of your most powerful spells.

In BG and BG2, you only have access to really powerful spells late into the game. After 100+ hours of gameplay, you felt rewarded that you became a powerful mage late in the journey. In contrast, you can cast the likes of Inferno/Tempest/Death Hex etc by mid game. It does make DAO too easy sometimes.

Furthermore, there were layers and interesting possibilities to spell combat in BG series. (If memory serves) There were anti-spell protections, spells that takes down anti-spell protections and more spells to counter protection-breaching spells. The likes of contigency and spell sequencers, which allows you to store 2-3 spells and cast them off in a go. Think of the possibilities.

Now I am not saying a reintroduction of the BG2 system should be done, or that it shouldn't. The bottom line is something needs to be done to the spell/mana system for DA, because as it is, it is shallow, unrewarding and ultimately boring.
