Fraps'd a video of me trying to kill a bugged geth hunter. This video was taken in a public gold level match after everyone had given up and left on account of that we could not kill this last mob and complete the phase. I attempted to attack with shotgun, melee, over-the-counter melee, even a rocket. This was not the final phase, if I recall it was between 5 and 7.
I have seen this bug before, it is not commonly occuring (in my experience) but extremely annoying when it does occur as it completely halts the current game and all players must quit the match. It seems to procure from a chain of over-the-counter melee kills executed in short succession to one another.
The mob that appears and becomes immortal doesn't seem to be one of those that was grabbed for execution. For instance I was once executing a chain of six or seven geth hunters and an immortal pyro appeared behind me out of nowhere and there were previously no pyros in the area that I could see.
Hope this helps any troubleshooting that may be currently invested in this issue.
