Why I will buy ME3 DLC

Arrival: 8 out of 10
Shadow Broker 10 out of 10
Overlord: 9 out of 10
Also note
Legacy
Mark of the Assassin
Shadows of Undrentide
Hordes of the Underdark
Bioware makes DLCs worth buying, numbers and fans of them don't lie. Agree of disagree with the ending (there really is only one ending in my opinion, just different colors) any non-change to the ending has to be before the ending, placing it is that 98%

I would completely argue that !
At the moment, BioWare has got me in an uncomfortable situation. I loved their products, and I really enjoyed the ME2 DLC. But, based on the endings, I feel it is really pointless to complete them, I don't have the drive for it. So, I will not buy the DLC unless they alter the ending in a way that seems satisfactory to me.
The paragraph above holds true for any other game of the Mass Effect series that they have planned. If it is pre-ending, between ME1 and ME2, I would simply feel no purpose playing it, because of the way the galaxy is going. If this is set after the current ending, no matter how long after, it will just validate the current ending as final, and I won't accept that, because to me it feels way away from BioWare writing standards.

DLC before the ending don't make sense since our choices never mattered we already know the ending anyway.
Don't get me wrong, I loved all Mass effect 2 DLC, same for the dragon age origins DLC and some of the Dragon Age 2 DLC, but I don't think they can do anything to fix the game anymore at this point, people already have such bad memories of the game, bugs, glitches, bad ending, bad multiplayer infrastructure, the list goes on.

There is no point to it. So, I can retake Omega. What does that do for me? Nothing? The whole Catalyst scene happens anyway and everything is F***ed? Ok then...
Hrrm. That multiplayer DLC eh? What does that do? More maps? Ok, but that doesn't change the single player? Only EMS? Ahh, I see.
More side missions? Do they do anything for me, or am I still shoehorned into the same ending? Same ending? Ok then.
There is no point for me playing any DLC if it doesn't change anything. I'm going to go right ahead and say it: Bioware's gameplay ain't the best out there. Its not what makes me play their games (DA:O was an exception, but mostly because it was a breath of fresh air to get old style RPG gameplay in this modern era). If I want to play a shooter, I'll play BF3. Hell, its what I've been doing since I finished ME3. I play Bioware games for the story, The story in Bioware games has always been unique to me as I've always had a hand in how its told, and what happens throughout. I felt I was making a difference, and that pushed me forward and made me want to see what the difference I made was.
In the end, the difference is nothing. No difference, 90% of the game becomes pointless to me. If I want to play a linear story, I'll play BF3 campaign. Its not terribly written. Sure, its cliche, but Bioware titles generally are too. The entire point of me playing the games has been removed by destroying my choices in the end.
People who will likely claim 'But your choices did matter, you just didn't see it. Why don't you have any imagination': I've got imagination alright. I'll imagine my whole way through the ME storyline, and put in my own imagined endings instead. ATM its a better experience. That is what forcing people to imagine does to your storyline.

I tend to agree I mean what's the point in taking back Omega when it has a good chance of being obliterated anyway?

I understand your points of it feeling pointless sure. But played for the fun of it would be worth it to me. The multiplayer is pointless (to me) but it is fun to do now and then if your group works together. Just stop the game at Marauder Shields and daydream your own ending. If they are leaving the ending as the crap it is. Again history proves they make good dlc, and the first 98% of the game was wonderful. Again, in my opinion
Well, I usually don't pay people a lot of money so I can daydream. I pay them so they can dream for me and I can just sit back and enjoy.
Also, I'm going to analyze and judge every DLC they release before I buy it. Pre-Ending DLC seems rather pointless, even if the gameplay would be fantastic, I just couldn't enjoy it. I would know that it is all for naught,
since I know how static the ending is going to be. And that would just suck the fun right out of it.

Sure they create decent DLC but with the current endings i won't be able to enjoy them and because of that i won't buy them. It's just as simple as that. Of course people are free to buy and enjoy the DLC how much they want.
I feel the same way. Why should I invest more money in DLC's, when the outcome will be always the same? I started a second playthrough, but knowing the endings I'm not so motivated anymore. I quit after finishing Mars and rather play SW:TOR again. This is my personal opinion and if others will buy and enjoy the DLC's I'm fine with that.

The DLC may be good but I won't be downloading it unless it is free.

Buying DLC should only ever be based on your personal fanboy level and superstitious admiration towards the company.
Rational consumer decisions are soooo last year.
There's a reason they'd rather spend their money on vastly exaggerated advertising (to avoid saying "lies") than on a solid product

This. And based on past DLC for ME, including From Ashes, I think whatever we get will end up being quality work.

The game play has gone in a different direction them I expected. Just about every mission has some variation of the multiplayer horde mode thrown in. Whether its sit on a turret and kill waves of enemies, or pick a squad member to do some action while you defend them from of wave of bad guys or do both at the same time. Then of course you have the multiple occurances of encountering bad guys with plot armor where your whole goal is don't die, e.g. Kai Leng and Eve. I just feel the imagination is lost and ME3 is relying on an over used and quite dull gameplay formula that gets very repetitive.
I'm just not so convinced ME3 would be any good if it wasn't the third installment of such a loved franchise.
