what's the point, if the universe is killed.

It doesn't even have a reason to be called 'Mass Effect' anymore, seeing as it's namesake is gone...

They have said there will be more ME full games, and I recall someone at Bioware suggesting we hold onto our ME3 saves "just in case" take that as you will. If they have an idea of how to carry on from where ME3 left off I would love to see it play out. We shall see.

I don't know.

Prequals would feel pointless to play when you know how it ends. And I don't know how they could make a sequal work, but perhaps they could come up with something interesting.

So, prequals; no thanks, sequals; maybe.

I could see a prequal with the First Contact war working. It's not perfect but I could see how they'd do it. Maybe a game where you get to play as a member of Garrus' Omega squad perhaps.

Yes, there should be more games in the Mass Effect universe. I think one of the main things that so many people love about Mass Effect is that it is so detailed in terms of the alien races and their histories and cultures. There are so many stories that could be told.

I also think this is a big reason that players are annoyed at the ME3 ending. Because if we take it at face value, based on what we also saw in ME2 Arrival, the destruction of the relays basically destroys every major planet and kills off every major race, which in turn kills all of those new stories. This is one major thing that Bioware needs to clarify.

But of course I'm not sure how interested I'd be in anything other than a single player RPG.

Well, maybe the energy from Crucible triggers much smaller explosion in mass relays than physical destruction.

I would see the next Mass Effect game as a sequel, many thousands years after the Reaper invasion, when the nations would build new relays, and because they won't remember each other, they will start a war, which would be great baseground for another epic story.

With the way Bioware ended it, I don't see how it can. And prequels would be even worse since you know how horribly it will end...

If the script will write of the man who devised the ending.
There is simple. After a million years - Reapers returned ! о_О

There most certainly will be more ME games.
When did EA turn down the chance to milk the crap out of a franchise?

There's a million directions they could take. They can make games about the Rachni Wars, Krogan Rebellions, first contact war, Skyllian Blitz...

It's awful isn't it when companies try to make money? What is the world coming to?

I was warned of the high amount of hate on Biowares forums, but now that i see it with my own eyes, it gets really clear. No offence.

I doubt a MMO or a rts game would turn out very succesful. I would love to have a ME4 though, but I wouldn't pre-order it.

Prequels are boring, and would be hard to integrate in a complex universe like this..

Let's just pray that the coming DLC(s) clear up the ending, and then we have a new trilogi set 20-30 years after the first game. Enough time to make things interesting, but close enough to keep things familiar.

Maybe one of your squadies could be Shep's son/doughter, varying depending on who you romanced in ME3?!

Sadly Quarians and the Geth would have to take the back seat, considering the wastly different situations they could be in, and how much work it would be to make different paths with them having major parts in the game..

Edit: wait, how can I post here? I haven't managed to register ME3 to my user! Must be :wizard:

Who cares. They've proved that they can't write a decent story. No way I'm I buying three more games just to get to the same situation we're in now. I've read a lot of the fans ideas, and they make more sense than the stuff we got in the game. They should start listening to the fans again, instead of ignoring them.

I don't care. They've written 2 good stories: Baldurs Gate 2, and Mass Effect 1. Everything else was either bad or boring.

I can't see me playing any sequel, because Starchild ending has betrayed the deepest themes for Mass Effect. Hope, and strength through unity.

I'd like a prequel but again, knowing how screwed the galaxy is, I wouldn't buy it unless the game is REALLY great. Not just Bioware great but, game of the decade great.

I'd rather they didn't, certainly. I'd prefer they focused on expanding Mass Effect 3, because as it is, it's full of nonsensical and underwhelming features. I think they've wasted a lot of potential with this game.

Prequels: No, we know how everything ends

Sequels: No, because it won't be the same

Reboot: Hell yes
