Under that idiot? No!

Okay, if I get to stab him in the back and take over, then sure.

Considering that 500 - 1000 workers are going to be laid off, and rumours suggest the staff who will be laid off will be based in Canada, I think you may have to say goodbye to BioWare as a whole.

What if Oleg becomes TIM?

ME3 was a bit disappointing but not even close to the abomination called DA2.

The irritating part is that Mass Effect 3 could have turned out to be the best in the series if they had spent a few more months on it. Seems they went out of time.

If they had dropped multiplayer (which actually is quite enjoyable despite all the bugs) we could probably have had a great single player experience all the way. Fans would not have been butt hurt and they could have avoided all the drama. Further adding a multiplayer patch afterwards free of charge would also have gained them much needed charisma points.

PR wise all this have hurt them for sure, but we will no doubt see more from the Mass Effect universe. Maybe sooner than we think since they killed a lot of the potential DLC sales with that horrid ending.

He may become SB if he wants. After I've killed Liara of course.

No, why share when I can have both? No, no sharing power!

I will still play the Mass Effect Series. Overall I really did enjoy the Games. Would like to see some more options or stories with other races, other than Human.

Oooh, a possible new Mass Effect from the eyes of an Terminus System mercenary?

Enough with the Alliance do-gooder shtick!

If ME3 is the qualitative indication of the sequels, I hope not.

Startup Grind's report goes on to speculate the layoffs are a
result of a disappointing 2011 in which a few hit games (like
Battlefield 3) had their sales overshadowed by an overspend on
marketing, expensive acquisitions and disappointing subscriber numbers
for big-budget MMO Star Wars: Old Republic.

#2

EA has said "There are no lay-offs as such, we always have projects growing and morphing"

Mass Effect 3 broke Mass Effect sales expectations, Dragon Age 3 is close to being announced, as showed at PAX recently. Please. Get real. Not to mention Crysis 3 was just announced as well. projects being rumored and new games being talked about.. sounds like EA is right and even if they are not.. it wont be Bioware that's touched

I'm pretty sure that EA will try to get more money out of this franchise, so yes, there'll be more Mass Effect games, possibly before the events of the Mass Effect trilogy. I personally won't bother playing them as I'll hate to see the Mass Effect name dragged through the mud again. The ending of the trilogy was bad enough as it is.
What I hope is that Mass Effect 3 will be the absolute conclusion of Commander Shepard's story. As much as I love the Mass Effect universe, Shepard is the glue that holds all of it together for me, and it wouldn't be the same without him/her.

Where did you see Mass Effect 3 broke sales expectations?  The only thing that I've seen is that it broke Pre-order sales expectations.

Hmm, did I post in here? *goes to check* Apparently not. Okay, ignoring the inane posts about how the endings make life, the universe and everything completely pointless, ME3 is just the end of Shepard's story. There could easily be prequel RPGs or ones that are concurrent to the events of ME1-ME3.

Personally, I'd be interested in post-Shepard games, because I think rebuilding the relays or coming up with new technolgies would be intriguing. However, after eliminating the single greatest threat to life in the galaxy, I suppose you might not really be able to top that.

I wouldn't be surprised if they make another installment, although I suspect both BW and EA will have to take a good, long look at fan/profit ratios before they decide to proceed with any project. I would also guess that, given the ending fiasco and the resulting tailspin of negative publicity and backlash that's resulted over the last six weeks, BW will have a tighter corporate leash on them.

I also suspect that they'll stay away from MMO's, given the recent news about the disappointing subscriber numbers and inflated marketing costs related to TOR. I wouldn't be surprised if BW/EA ditches the MMO format completely.

Any new games would most likely be prequels or happening during the series.

I would think that post-shepard events would be really limited in scope (no spoilers though right? ;) )

Tyring to top the last threat is a big problem with CRPGs (yeah, I know you know that.)

Personally, I don't see why a sequel game wouldn't work just fine without relays. ME ships are already faster than Star Trek ships, and that universe doesn't have any problems functioning.

This is the only thing we know, emphasized word by me :

[quote]Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?

No. BioWare strongly believes in the team's artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.{/quote]

how can there be anything other than prequels or stuff happening during ME2 & 3 (a la ODST style)? The ending ME3 makes it impossible to do anything ever again.

What's space travel in ME4 gonna be, stasis pods and cryo-sleep, like in Aliens or Pitch Black? Even with a ships FTL, everything is just too far away.

What are you talking about? Not everything is too far away. Just some things

So what if you can't get from Earth to Thessia and Palaven anymore? There's a whole goddamn galaxy out there between them. About time someone explored it rather than just following the Reapers' links.

It would be great if they set it up like DA:O and let you pick what species, gender, race, and so on.  Bioware please make this an option.

Well if they want to continue the story in the same grim/dark place, set the story on Earth. Most everyone is dead, everyone left is starving...and looking like rejects from Mad Max. :)
