EA stocks are tanking and they are practically begging people to come back to TOR. Wonder how long till bioware gets the axe.BobSmith101 wrote...
I'm sure they will try. But this is very like Westwood.
Will the Mass Effect series continue?

I'm with you on this... I want the Relays to be rebuilt (or whatever's happening with extended cut).. and a NEW THREAT to emerge - with humans involved.. as part of the magic of Mass Effect is feeling pride in the human civilisation and what it's achieved etc (for me anyways).Hobbes83 wrote...
There will be more, that's for sure. I just hope it won't be a prequel.
Nothing is going to match the Reapers though. The only way you could really pull that off is canon control and turn Shepard into the next bad guy ala Diablo.

As for sequels, with the ME universe so broken and damaged after ME3 it wont be like the earlier games where you roamed the galaxy. No Citadel to explore just fubar homeworlds.
They didn't make sequels to Call of Duty where you lived in post WW2 europe and scrounged to rebuild for a good reason.

Having a similar style of gameplay to the current multiplayer but adding in social elements and greater individual customisation etc. I'd definitely play something like that.

After having played the ME3 multiplayer a lot, I got to thinking that a somewhat scaled down MMO would be cool. Basically it would be like Phantasy Star Online only set in the Mass Effect universe.

-Play "Freelancer". There are a few mods and I even believe there are still a few MP servers up and running. Eitehr way its a decent game and the modding community has made some excellent campains.

After this end and all my hype, my worship about this franchise was killed in few minutes at the last campaign in earth... I dont care anymore about bw and mass effect. They can change with extended if they want to do something great but im a really negative about this=/. All the time i remember what the developers said about the game and in the end appears they want to make exactly the oposite. I dont want in the future to feel the same way. I dont want to feel deluded again.

I don't see it going back to the past though. No "playing as Anderson" or anything like that. The future of Mass Effect is in the future of Mass Effect!

I don't think BioWare is going to destroy the universe...yet. There is a new ending DLC called the Extended Cut, which is supposed to clarify the ending, but not change it. However, the fact that the ending will be extended but not changed will, I think, not bode very well with BioWare fans who want the ending changed...as well as for fans who wholeheartedly support the Indoctrination Theory.bluewolv1970 wrote...
hopefully NO - Bioware already destroyed the universe
However, if BioWare manages to strike a balance between what their fanbase wants and trying to appreciate the "artistic vision" of the developers, then perhaps BioWare may not have destroyed the Mass Effect universe...if the ending is concocted in a way that may allow for a possible sequel.

If a prequel to Mass Effect was made, I would consider playing it. After all, it would be interesting to find out what characters, places, and things were present prior to the events of Mass Effect I.
However, trying to come up with a prequel would be tricky at best, as the BioWare developers will have to take into account every nitpicking detail that occured in the games and the books so as not to upset their fanbase.

The only real limitation is how BW/EA handle the franchise. Can they recover from the missteps of ME3? Stay tuned...

As for Earth and the various races that came along. I think its possible that depending on who you successfully brought along. It is possible for Earth to have a multi-racial society. But this is (again) tied to whoever you brought to the final fight. Turians are doomed without food supplies. Quarians need materials to construct new vessels and stations to support food cultivation. The Krogan need space (which can be managed depending on whether Wrex or Wreav is in charge). The Volus would be the hardest race to acclimate: they need an ammonia based ecology.
The five most likely races to survive and adapt to Earth would be the Asari, Geth, Drell, Elcor, and Hanar (assuming that I'm not forgetting anything vital). Asari are similiar to humans (minus the skin tone, "hair", and natural biotics). Drell and Hanar have strict environment needs (which Earth has). And the Geth, well, they don't settle on worlds and can help mine materials. The Elcor typically live on high-gravity worlds, but I haven't seen any implications from them living on the Citadel with other races (aside from the occassional organ-harvesting psycho).
So, it is possible for the victory fleet to survive. Given that the united races have something to provide to the other races. At the very least, there would be a need for cooperation out of mutual survival.
