Still, none the better was conclusive of what actually became of the planets. Losing the relays, regardless of how you decide their destructions were 'meant' to be interpreted, was if anything counter-productive to Shepard's mission - even if the relays didn't actually destroy their inhabited solar systems. However nothing is reaffirming that didn't happen when they blew. If anything more, the relays were 'overloaded' with energy from the Crucible which caused them to supernova - therefore the states/fates of Earth, the Citadel, etc. are now unknown, and are at best hypothetically destroyed [with given references].AlanC9 wrote...
Apparently it never occurred to them that people would think hitting a relay with an asteroid and using the Crucible on a relay would result in the same size explosion. It's like the bomb on Tuchanka -- it blows up no matter what you do, but if you do the mission it's a much smaller bang.
Honestly, I saw the ending the way Bio expected us to. It wasn't until I came here that I discovered people were thinking that Bio showed us Earth being saved only to blow the planet up two minutes later.
I understand the difference between writers' truest intentions, and what was the actual result from their writing. I still blame the director(s) as I sense there wasn't an agreement between the two, and friction either delayed or altered the endings we now have. Fans will deduct from the story's conclusion to form an estimation of how the characters they've spent the last 3 games knowing, and perhaps even grew to love, fared on their final escape from the carnage dealt at the end. For example, [if Earth/ Sol System wasn't destroyed] how are all of the alien forces [at/on Earth] going to survive without the relays to return home or provisions for adequate living? How do they adapt? Do we lose more than we saved? What became of the Normandy's crew? Where are they?
Just regular expressions people might have after playing this game. I'd think it'd be best if the entire thing was re-thought in an alternate universe for a continuation. Mass Effect 3 - Alternate Reality.
Hopefully you can get Cerberus and TIM on your side this time. Lol
