His point is quite valid, it's as if I had said something like "you arr stoopid becus you speld thing wrong".  He called others retards whilst making a retarded mistake at the same time.  And I think he put 'mmk' because that is often what it said when people say OK.  But if he does think it's a word then he is also hypocritcal (but that's not likely).

dont bring emotion into it. nobody is upset (unless you are) you were the one that felt the need to correct somebody. if you are mad that i corrected you then you also proved that you were being a hypocrite. im just doing the same exact thing you just did. you cant have it both ways. thats what happens when you choose to correct somebody while also making simple mistakes yourself. they invented the word "okay" you had the option to use it and used the improper and informal sense of the word "mmk" i corrected you and you got upset. there is nothing more to this. sorry it upset you that you discovered these things can go both ways.

my point is you shouldnt correct grammer if you are not going to use the english langauge properly yourself. i do not have a problem with people using improper english, but when they are telling other people how to do it they are being hypocrites and i do have a problem with that.

you wouldn't expect your english teacher to teach you english if they can't use proper english themselves would you?

ok i'll step away from this. maybe i just didnt do a good job explaining why its wrong to correct somebody if you are going to be wrong yourself. the truth is i can find a number of posts from either you or the original offender, or myself that use improper spelling or grammer. the idea that you need to point it out instead of addressing the comment that started this mess (the one about people being retarted by using quote pyrimids) is useless in its own. dont correct somebody if you dont plan on being correct yourself. the idea that you are insulting my bad grammer was the point i was making. thus my point.
