DA2 wasn't a big let down, my expectations were so low from the demo , DLC & facebook crap, the actual game was a little better than I thought it would be. But only because I wasn't invested. DA2 wasn't DA2 to me though, it was DA: Hawke's Adventure.

ME3 on the other hand, f*ck*tty f*ck ... It's over a month since I looked into Pandora's box from the SA forums & Tank's posts on the endings & I'm still not over how broken ME3 is. My hats off to the debug teams & beta testers at Bioware ... I am without a doubt surprised the game even booted up.

DA2 wasn't all that bad for me since the save import was a joke. Small dialogue changes aren't enough for me to say "Oh man, I was there! Ah, good times."

ME3-without-the-starchild was a small step back from ME2. The lack of control over the direction of conversations kinda did that for me.

ME3-with-the-starchild was just lame, lame, LAME.

The horrible horrible badness was more evenly distributed in DA2. That entire game just sucked, not just the ending. By the time I made it to the end of DA2 I was ready for it to be over, good, bad, or otherwise.

ME3 was a shot to the nuts with a cricket bat in the middle of a really pleasant dream.

ME3's ending was the biggest letdown. Ever.
I was able to replay DA2 a couple of times.

Same here: played through DA2 with 3 different Hawkes in spite of the repetitive layer design. I enjoyed the characters, the subtle differences in how the story developped depending on my decisions, the moral ambiguities of most decisions. It felt in keeping with what the IP was intended to be: dark fantasy, rather than high fantasy like Baldur's Gate.

And regardless of how you choose to end DA2, the IP still offers interesting story development for the future. The conflict between mages and the Chantry is just starting to get interesting. It's a great setting for the next DA hero/champion to rise in.

The ending of ME3 is jarringly out of context. It destroys a a great deal of the established universe, leaving little hope for future story development. The devs have practically painted themselves into a corner where all future ME products will have to be prequels; and unlike the Star Wars IP, the ME universe has only a century of history in which to set these prequels.

The current endings are bad for the IP and make no sense within the established lore, in addition to being unpopular with the fans. That level of fail is so strong, only a double face palm will do...

After "Awakening" and the decision to release DA2 so quickly, I do not have very high hopes.

But ME3...the kind of ending...how is it possible for someone to cook up this kind of solid excretions?!

I beat ME3 twice and will almost certainly start another run soon.
I completely gave up on DA2 and uninstalled it after the first 6 hours.

I was never hyped for DA 2

ME 3 was a let down. DA 2 was just a bad game, same as any other.

DA:O was a great game for me.
DA2....it just... I have erased it from my memory. It never happened.
ME3, I was amazed for 90% of the game. And even if the endings spoil the franchise, there are still moments that will be remembered.

DA2...disappointment doesn't even cut it.

ME3, because I figured a lot would be cleared up and cleaned up in DA3...where will ME go for more clarity and speculation?

I will add that both suffer from climaxes that came too early though...The Arishok battle was easily the story climax for DA2 and Rannoch was unfortunately the ME3 climax.....both started going downhill way to early...

Neither. I think ME3 and DA2 are freaking awesome. Yea, the ME3 ending was depressing but the game was still awesome. Also, get over your hatred for DA2, people. It isn't as bad a game as people make it out to be.

The combat system was an improvement over the first one (if you are like me, and like playing nightmare withouth pausing, it feels quite great), but the overuse of same zones was awfull. Even if i enjoyed the game, people has to be honest.
