The amount of people on this thread saying DA2 was good and ME3 is bad...
It makes me believe that the fans most disappointed with the ME3 ending were the ones most invested in the series. BUT THATS NO EXCUSE FOR CALLING DA2 GOOD!
ME3 and DA2: Which was a bigger letdown for you?

ME2 was only a letdown in the last 10 minutes (but hooboy was it a biggie).
DA2 was a letdown throughout the game. There's only so many times I can handle Naruto fights where the entire population of Kirkwall comes out to fight you, only so many times I can handle going through a redress of the same damn dungeon map before I go "bleh".

I enjoyed DA 2 very much.
I enjoyed Mass Effect 3 very much before I saw the illogical and terrible endings...
The journey in Mass Effect was great, moving, somtimes even a little funny and exciting, but the ending was the biggest letdown ever for me. I never would have expected something like that.
I started a second playthrough and quit after I left Mars. I tried, but I'm not motivated at all anymore and now I'm playing SW:TOR again. At least that's fun and not depressing me

With all due respect, anyone who says Mass Effect 3 despite playing DA:O needs their head examined in all honesty.
Don't let your opinion on the endings taint what is a brilliant game, that was completely faithful to the Mass Effect series up until the end. Bioware re-introduced the RPG elements, improved the combat vastly, brought back all the ME1 squadmates, gave all ME2 squadmates cameos at the very least, and featured incredible and enjoyable missions with a fantastic atmosphere and story.
Dragon Age 2 however, was such a step back compared to DA:O. Not only were Origins removed, but the game was incredibly small in scale with the same recycled dungeons OVER and OVER. While ME3 continued and stayed faithful to what made Mass Effect a great series, DA2 took a step back in that regard.
The DA2 squad members were also disappointing.

I quite enjoyed DA2 as well as ME3. The only letdown was ME3's ending.

Well, I actually liked DA2... maybe even more than DA:O. In my opinion ME3's ending was the first time Bioware failed to deliver.

DA2 was a big letdown. ME3 was fine up to the ending. I hope Bioware get the ending fixed and I never have to talk about how ME3 disappointed me again. Because 99% of the game was good. Even if not perfect.

I like DA2 even with its flaws, the rince and repeat dungeons, lack of personalizing the characters, the basic rpg value didn't feel involved enough, the game play was fun, but at the end I still felt I won and finished the game, Varric gave the epilogue, completion. ME3 has little flaws in it that could be overlooked, mission log even the streamlined rpg(kinda) but the ending made me feel like I spent 40+ hours do my darnedest to win and I still freaking lost, no epilogue and no completion. So for me ME3 is a bigger let down.

Neither was disappointing. Both were well worth the money I paid for.

ME3 was more disappointing than DA2, but that doesn't mean I dislike either. I do mind the lack of a coherent ending to ME3, though.
It's just that I came in to DA2 with less expectations than most of you people, having disliked DAO greatly (I liked it more after the second go-through, but I still had more fun with DA2, so there).

Mass effect 3 was a bigger letdown but it was a better game than Dragon Age 2 which sucked almost the whole way through. I did like some changes to the talent system but other than that it blew.

My friends got to me and warned me about DA2 so I didn't play it.

DA2 was a horrible game (it didn't just have a bad ending) that killed any desire to play any DA game again. Awful.

ME3 was by far a bigger letdown, that had three games to work up to an epic conclusion with the same PC and largely the same cast. In other words, there was a lot more emotional investment. DA2 was a completely separate story from DA:O. Any emotional investment wouldn't be nostalgic, it would come from playing the game itself, not its prequels. Plus, I actually quite liked DA2, it wasn't the direction I necessarily think is best for that franchise to go in, it sure as heck was not as good as DA:O, but it was still largely enjoyable. In all honesty, as much as has been written about he "divisiveness" of ME3's ending, DA2 was honestly much more divisive. There is a much stronger unison of hate for ME3's endings, if we go by BSN polls which are admittedly not entirely acurate, where just about every argument about DA2 was almost split 50/50 between fans

DA2 wasn't so bad, at least in was consistant. It was just an average game by Bioware standards. ME3 is far more disappointing because the big drop in quality after Rannoch. I'll go as far as to say that the ending do not fit the trilogy as it is.

Mass Eefect 3 was by far. It had a good story going and then the entire series was ruined for me in 15 minutes. DA2 didn't have me invested at all because the story was mediocre. The problem with ME3 was the last 15 minutes while DA2 was the overall story.

After 3 games of playing Shepard, ME3 by far, although I think DA2 was a worse game on the whole. I just wasn't that attached to DA2 since I wasn't playing the Grey Warden anymore, so it wasn't as much of a letdown.
Although, I could see myself playing ME3 more than once, but I refuse to slog through another 40 hours of tiny Kirkwall and copy/paste dungeons EVER AGAIN. DA2 had the worst sense of exploration out of any game I've ever played.

DA2 was consistent in being mediocre. ME3 on the other hand was awesome right until the end. So for me, ME3 was a huge let down.

Since I enjoyed both, I'd say I'm in the better position than anyone here. Also i'm not some elitest snob who thinks only a prue RPG can be good, as most on the BSN appear to be.

DA2 wasn't fun or engaging to me at any point, and really had no redeeming value at all. I barely finished it once, so I have to go with that/
Despite ME3 flaws, and there were more than just the ending, it had great moments.

I felt let down by both. ME3 as the ending to an otherwise amazing trilogy has to be the bigger letdown. DAII and ME3 are the last two games I've purchased from BioWare; the fact that in neither game have my choices as a whole affected the ending, I'm starting to worry that BioWare is going in the opposite direction of what has made them so amazing up until recently.

I was ok DA2, not my all time favorite, but I always felt it got more hate than it deserved.
ME3 ending was a huge let down from the company that used to have such masterful writers.

ME3. While DA2 was a worse than DAO it was all of equal quality through the game not sudden drops in some bits.

Neither one was a letdown by any definition of the word. Neither was exactly what I would have liked, but both were very fun and definitely worth what I paid for them.
