IF DAO was "real life" and you could only die ONCE...how far would you have gotten in the game?

First death was defending Redcliffe from the undead. Failed on the second wave after the knight calls you down into the other part of the village.

Oh wait you mean if DA:O worked like real life. Not if our real selves were transported to the world of Dragon Age- how long we would last.
Hmmm I would probably last around the Ogre...if I managed to make it past him...I would definitely say random encounter with wolves.

So, minor spoiler alert.
I've only been playing on Hard and had my first full party death because of the dragonling in the Brecilian ruin.
Also, my main character's first (permanent) injury was somewhere in that darn Circle tower. (I went first into the Brecilian Forest until the dragonling, then to Redcliffe, then to the Tower, then back to Connor/Fade, then to Orzammar, then to parts of the Deep Roads and then I was traveling all over the place.)
By the way, Dwarf Commoner is the only origin in which my PC suffered an injury. ^^

Once I complete the game at least once I look forward to attempting some "no reload campaigns" in DA:O as I used to attempt them in BG and ID2.

In game, my first death came...I think in a random encounter with bandits. I made it all the way through the Cousland origin, past Ostagar and the wilds, past Lothering, and died on the road because of a dirty arrow to the leg that stuck me, followed by a fireball.
If we're talking real life dying with your party, that didn't happen all the way until the High Dragon at, well, no spoilers so I'll leave it at that. I was completely 100% utterly unprepared for the encounter, had like 3 health paultices, no lyrium, and yeah...dead.
I think however if it were me at the beginning, I would've died in the castle, because I would've answered the door over Iona...

I think the first time I died in the game was in the mage origin. I was a tad too careless in the sidequest with the spiders and died at the spot where you have to navigate very carefully not to get two of them. And I got two of them, one overwhelmed me, and it was over.

Indeed, that spot is harder than the Ogre, IMHO.Monkinsane wrote...
I would've been toast at the entrance to the tower at ostagar - had a rough time getting past the first room.

I would've made it all the way!
You completed the entire game, without your main character ever falling in battle? This ofc includes: quicksave, die, quickload, live!

Well since "I'm kind of a big deal" I got through to the end and ended the blight.....without dying.....ever.
Corresponding to my last post..
Doesn't that just mean you loaded an earlier save every time you died?
I would like to know, because if it even counts deaths when you do that, i shall be saving myself the effort of trying to get the "I'm kind of a big deal" challenge.

Ok dalish elf origin Supposing that I was a wildlife experienced elf :
At first i would rob the village boys and send them back home. Then i would declare the elf cave a historical monument and I would became the president of the Dalish cultural bureau. Then I would send my camp's best men with Duncan with the excuse that must give more important political battles and forge an alliance with the darkspawn by giving some criminal citizens to be possesed by demons while I cept them in prison. Then I would take a big loan for the reconstruction of all the monuments and of course I would benefit by all these money. Also I would just buy Morrigans Hut in the woods and marry her no matter what she wanted cos i would have her mother killed. And after these and many more that i dont have the time to explain i would declare myself the king of the world . Thank you.
