Obsidian would be my favorite if only Feargus could produce his own games like at Black Isle. Obsidian publishers wreck their games: see, Alpha Protocol opening, anything Bethesda bugs out, etc. But as a developer, they're my favorite, but they desperately need to find more gamer friendly publishing arrangements.
CDPR has potential, but is skating on thin ice. They consoled Witcher 2, and it was a significant drop off from the first game.
Rockstar is the company that I think can dominate the market in the near future as they branch out. If they ever learn how to do game mechanics worth a crap, and branch out in to RPG/adventure games, they'll own the world. LA Noire is an absolute masterpiece. They could become the next Sierra (under the Williams' early reign).
My dream merger is Rockstar and Obsidian in bed together somehow. Those two companies manage to walk the line between art, commerce, and customer service better than anyone operating right now.
Edit: One reason I'm so bullish on Rockstar is that they are largely fearless. If they want to write a grown up game, they do it, and damn the torpedoes. Even after the hesitation from the great "coffee" nightmare.
Double Edit: I'm new to Naughty Dog, but they also do great production work. UC2 and 3 are short, but severely high quality outings. I award high points to companies that take care with their production values and don't rush product to the point of destruction (which is why I view Bethesda so poorly, in spite of their ambition).
