Anybody else still have a CAR code? I have nothing to trade for it (except virtual hugs and cookies) but it can't hurt to ask.

The inner completionist in me can't stand seeing that empty manifest slot, and I don't have the extra dough at the moment to by an item purely for the CAR code.

So if anyone could spare an extra code (I just want to unlock the gun not level it up) I would most thankful.

I would be open to that. However, it would have to be a substantial number of microsoft points for me to consider it (say, 3200, or $40). Yes, this is a price mark-up. I apologize for that, but even though this will probably be the most "common" code, it is also the code that is limited in supply.


In other news, I am an idiot. I engaged in a trade with the user micah80 for the iPhone case. His code was unrecognized. He has not responded to any of my messages, and when I checked his profile, I saw that his account was made after my post. I also checked, and yes, he did redeem my code.

I am lucky; my extra codes are essentially free, so I won't loose sleep having lost one to an asswipe.

Even so, I am updating the guidelines page with the following:

1. If the first person initiates the trade, the second person, if said person agrees to it, sends part of their code to the first person. Then the first person sends their whole code, and the second person finishes theirs.

2. CHECK THE PROFILES OF ANYONE WHO MESSAGES YOU! Just created? Probably a scam, a dummy account created to cheat you out of a code. Make sure that they have a copy of Mass Effect 3 registered to their account.

Also, from here on in, I will not respond to private messages from people who have not posted here first.

I want the Collector Rifle so badly...

I wouldn't be able to offer much in return though other than help getting any co-op or multi-player related achievements for all of our mutual games and a 100 MSP card. :S

I just bought a whole new AlienWare w/ Razer Gear set-up, and ALL of the products with the Collector's Rifle bonus were out of stock - permanently as far as I know.

For everybody wanting a code, I know this might seem like a bit more than you want to do, but it works really well. Go on ebay, amazon, and other websites (I know ThinkGeek had a bunch of iPhone cases) and buy a Razer product. Use the code, then sell the Razer product on ebay, amazon, or other websites to get about 95-100% of your money back. I've done it with several products and haven't lost a dime.

**Edit**  Needless to say, make sure the listing you use explicitly says that it comes with the code.  If it doesn't say specifically, just ask.

In all seriousness i don't expect to get one for free, the offer was just a precaution incase someone did get generous, im hoping to go out and by some ms points soon to trade for one, ill keep you guys posted when i do..

Its being added to public packs on Tuesday with the new DLC.

Public add of CAR still doesn't turn mine from a 7 to a 10. Nor does it make those of us who have sacrificed to get it and upgrade it. While they are at it just bump everyone's gear all to level 10. In fact make the CAR as good at stripping shields and penetrating armor as it was in ME 2. It still feels nerfed even at level 7.

I do feel sorry for the people who splashed out for these though... can we upgrade them to level 10 though?
