Whats the name of the planet/world that Dragon Age is set in? So far theyve only said the name of one country Ferelden.Im pretty sure thats just one kingdom and not the name of the whole world.Am I right?

Im a noob so forgive me if this is an obvious question thats been said before.And would this count as a spoiler question?If so than sorry about putting it in the wrong section

Lord of the Rings is set in Middle Earth WoW takes place in Azeroth so Dragon Age must have a name of its world too.

There is none. Thedas as a continent is already the largest thing the people need to concern themselves with. Many never leave their own country. The concept of a planet with many other continents is outside their daily experience.

I think I've heard a name for the earth/planet mentioned, but I can't remember what it was.. the dragonage wikisite might have something on it

The name of the continent it is on is "Thedas", but I don't think a name has been given for the whole world.

Middle Earth is just the name of the continent the story takes place on.

Tolkiens Middle Earth isn't necessarily another planet.

Tolkien himself described it as Earth in an age long gone.

I think this also applies for Thedas and it's lands.

The whole reason I wanted to know is because im making a mod that takes place in another part of the "world".

That may be enough.  There may not be any other notable continents.  Forgotten Realms has its planet named after its continents.

Don't expect the world to be named after just one country was explored. It might not get a name till much, much later.

Yeah, Thedas used to stand just for The Dragon Age Setting.  They don't seem to be trying too hard to get a bunch of names out.

Some npcs refer to it as the "earth"... I don't think it's such a big deal anyway, the earth is a nice name for a planet ... Rather that, than having some wicked name that doesn't make sense.

If its Earth than they would refer to real places like England and France.And call the "maker" God.

Nah, I read Codex that's a Maker do marry, so Maker can't be God since I don't read anywhere God has a wife in bible.

I like the names Terra or Gaia .There just other names for Earth.I hope Bioware picks one of those.
