because of the operation..
they probably just promoted their chars like me, and wanted to get to a stable level before moving back to silver, then to gold.

Because most gamers don't know how to play games.

1. They ignore the objectives
2. They run straight to the middle of the biggest group of enemies & get obliterated
3. They don't use rockets
4. They don't stick together with their teammates
5. Nobody knows how to grab
6. They don't bother to revive you, they'll stand on your head & ignore you (true story!)

So I stick to Bronze to guarantee I make it to the extraction. I went through silver & gold, no need to do it every single time.

Out of courtesy, when I promote and play a level 1 character on bronze, I also take weaker weapons and try my best to avoid taking people's kills.  Yeah I'm not playing my best, but on the other turn of the coin, the others on the team gets a chance as well.  Lot of the low level folks on bronze don't even have a widow yet (I'm talking N7 level).

You might not think so, but after getting some experience in silver/gold, it's way too easy to mop up on bronze, and unfortunately, by doing so, you might even take away people's fun.  Some folks may have level 15+ characters, but they may lack the experience.

I stay in Bronze because so far I have only won a single Silver match. Every time I try some retarded idiots messes up the match. Every. Single. Time.

Though it's not exactly better on Bronze. I'm fresh out of a match where we wiped on wave 10 because people didn't know how to take cover...

High N7 lvls means that they are promoting their lvl 20 characters and reseting them to lvl1 ....It's not recommended using a lvl 1-6 in silver and gold...so we raise our lvls 1-10 in bronze and then hop back over to silver/gold for 10-20.

Having a high N7 lvl means nothing when you've reset your characters to lvl 1.

So stop thinking that an N7 500+ is some overpowered player...it's just a number.

Everytime you promote a character it adds +10 lvls to your N7 rating.

I do it when I want to use guns. When I play Silver or Gold I feel I have to go biotics or I don't pull my weight.

I don't play Bronze aggresively (taking all the kills and all that) if I'm playing with low levels, I let them run around and get kills while I hold my preferred spot or complete the objectives.

I've finished maxing out my recruit pack weapons and I'm doing veteran pack weapons now so it's an easy way to get a few credits without worrying about teammates. When I start buying Spectre packs I'll have to step it up to at least silver, gold if I have friends playing.

This.

I just took a level 2 to a bronze game that had a level 20, a level 18 and a level 17.

Before that I had a guy hosting a Silver lobby tell me to switch to a level 20 or GTFO.

Seems like all the baddies are out leveling up this weekend due to the event.

Because I play Bronze when I want to actually feel like I'm accomplishing something when using an AR. I like the ARs. A lot.

Still takes like 50~ shots from the GPR VI with the damage mod and incendiary ammo I to kill a single Cerberus Trooper though...

I play bronze on "high level" characters when 1. I'm testing out new class/weapons/builds 2. I'm out of supplies.. don't want to do silver/gold without rockets/medigels 3. it's easy, fun and no need to worry about team that much.

I only play bronze, because honestly I don't want to have to deal with "human" issues in silver and gold matches. Lets just say that certain types of people play Gold and Silver matches and there are far fewer of those types playing Bronze.

well, it certainly will give you the change of having better weapons than the starting people with low N7 level..

I don't care if bads play in bronze. No matter what their level. More power to them.

So long as they stay in bronze.

You even read the topic title?

High level. They dont level up in bronze...You need like 1 game of bronze(depending on class) and then its silver.

I don't play bronze because honestly it is more prone to "issues" then gold. For example I noticed a high level of quitters, a high level of whining and complaining and a high level of general douchebaggery (ie VTK) then I notice in gold.

People with a low N7 level generally suck. Might not be them as such but statistically speaking they cant have really good gear below N7 60 at least. They usually quit more because they don't put as much stock into winning or them being good (because of low level).

EDIT: Specifically for high level players- it is because they suck on silver or gold or cant get a team for either so they play it safe in Bronze where they are less reliant on the team and can even solo.

Oh yeah, another reason why I don't play silver or gold is wave 10. We kick ass & walk right through it with no problems at all, silver is too easy! Then wave 10 comes around & we all get our asses handed to us on a silver platter. Usually we have to hack a terminal right in the middle of a couple Banshees, a couple Brutes & tons of Ravagers. They just keep comin & comin & it just pisses me off. It's just plain stupid! So I say "to hell with it" & switch back to bronze so I can actually enjoy the game.

I like my games to be as realistic as possible & bronze just seems more realistic to me. If 4 soldiers were sent into a hot zone how many enemies could they realistically handle in real life?

And then there's the problem of having enemies spawn right behind you when you just looked that way & it was clear. I HATE that stupid unrealistic crap!  Where the hell did that guy come from??? He wasn't there a second ago. I just can't tolerate that crap.

I play bronze for easy credits and to consume nothing. I use the credits to refill my stock. Although occasionally I stumble upon a lobby that isn't even able to finish a bronze mission, normal mode is full completion. As I am there for credits, I play lazy. Big beasts kiling is fun, playing objectives is fun, let the vanguard (or the inevitable krogan) kill the mob.

And as I have yet to see a level 1 class whatever to dominate a bronze session I take the OP with a grain of salt.

If the points are not almost equally distributed among the team players, the team as such has failed to function. It still works in bronze, though. If the team works well and everyone understands how to play his class, a low level player should be on the last place of the scoreboard as he has lower damage output.

Furthermore I can understand that the stress level of silver or gold is sometimes too much for players so they choose to play it easy. Silver is way more fun, but more exhausting as well.

You answered your own question. Its easy. I play bronze sometimes just to feel like a biotic god.

I do not know about you getting kicked though. Its probably for showing them up.

got kicked after finishing a gold against cerberus earlier today.

i was the only one to break 100k (next best score was 60kish), the only one to make it to the extraction zone on wave 11 and, best of all, not only was i the only one with any revive medals... i had the 25 revive medal.

but they kicked me.
