I usually play on gold but I do go on bronze after I promote to not burden my team, I think the reasons why you see high lvl'd guys on bronze is because they are either not confident enough to attempt silver or gold, or they just want to be a complete boss. Either way let 'em play on bronze at least they can boosts lower lvls through it that much more faster.

all too often people get fixated on char levels.  as in lvl 1's should be in bronze only, lvl 10 or up in silver, and you should never go gold unless you're level 20.

hell, i did the same thing today when the group i was with, the leader, who was doing great, decided to bring a lvl 1 to the gold matches we were playing.  we still won.  had to pick him up alot, but the win was gotten and it wasn't gotten with all that much trouble.

unfortunately though, that means when i promote a char and want to play that lvl 1, i need to do a bronze match or two or ill probably get kicked out of the silvers... and definitely get kicked from the golds i normally play.

Wait wait wait.

We've already been told we're not allowed in Gold unless we meet crazy-strict criteria controlled by the elites.

Now we're being told we shouldn't be in Bronze either.

How long until you try to take Silver away too?

Just play the game and have fun, dangit.

I want guaranteed wins and max credits. Sometimes, a fully won bronze match is worth more credits than a partially won silver match.

i would suggest you do nothing but golds then.

even if you don't get past wave 3 on gold, you're still getting the same amount of credits as a full bronze match... and it typically takes about half the time to get to wave 3 on gold than it does to completely finish a bronze.

unless you're in a team that can finish a bronze in 10 minutes, in which case, why the hell isn't that team doing at least silver?

I prefer not to enter a Silver match with a character under level 12, give or take, or a Gold with a character under level 17 (lowering as I get better). But I've also been known to play Bronze when I just want to relax and enjoy the game. If I go into a Gold match, I tend to get a tad stressed out because it takes all my focus nonstop for up to 45 minutes. By contrast, most Bronze matches are cleared in about twenty minutes and I don't have to worry about doing something stupid, like Krogan-headbutting everything in sight instead of using my weapons.

Because they want to?

Sometimes they want to use a weapon that would be out of place on higher difficulties, or they just wanna play a match without putting in a whole of effort.

I play bronze to test out new builds/weapons. Plus when I don't like waiting 20 min for a game, I click on "Challenge: Any" which usually results in bronze

Sometimes its just fun to do an easy, no-thinking-involved match. Besides, if you say bronze is filled wiht high levels, I'll say that silver is PLAGUED by people who have no clue at all how to play the game.

Strong this.

You cannot die on bronze unless you mess up monumentally.

Also, Lol at finishing top, you think I'm going to sprint around the map with a weapons based class to keep up with a Novaguard on bronze? My ego can take the hit of not being top :).

I play bronze if I want xp.

I play silver if I want money.

I play gold if I'm feeling lucky.

Some people just don't have the talent to do anything higher than Bronze.

Last night I promoted my Soldiers and restarted a lvl 1 Krogan. I loaded him up with a GPS and a Widow (because he had no active powers to use) and finished the match in first place above a DAdept (packing a Revenant and Viper), AVanguard and HSentinel all in the upper teens/20.

With the right weapons, skill, tactics and knowledge, a lvl 1 can easily beat out a lvl 20. And inversely a lvl 20 can just outright be terrible if the player has no idea what they're doing.

To be fair, Bronze is such that it's sort of a faceroll to get high scores as a Krogan.

However, relevant to your post, I do not understand why I see so many Drell with sniper rifles.

maybe its because it shows the drell holding a sniper rifle on the character select menu. i havent done that yet but that picture keeps making me wanna try a drell with a sniper rifle.

I play bronze mostly to get used to the MP, and buy crap loads of recruit packs so my base weapons will at least do a bit more than act like sneezing at the enemies on silver. Though I've recently started playing silver a tad more with my higher levels.
