no no, the way I am trying to set this thing up, you don't have to be an artist. it can be as simple as wrapping a green string around your wrist. (or ya can draw 'em stick figures as we were discussing earlier. lol) alright... time for me to get back to writing this thing up.

But Thane deserves so much MORE! I can't be satisfied with just giving him a string. XP

                You want to know what went down on the last day of PAX East? Of course you do! Here
it is! After speaking with the Bioware staff, here are some tidbits that we have 'gleaned.' Please understand that some of this we may have misinterpreted. This is our take on what we heard. We may, because we are human, be mistaken.

                On Jacob: The disappointment of his plot development was mainly a result of a writer's intent being lost in translation. The way that this particular LI turned out was never meant to be offensive.  Please know, that this controversial development was never the writers intention.
                 On Liara's 'Embrace Eternity' Moment Before the last Battle: This was meant to be very open to fan interpretation. However, if you and Liara are just friends, it was not meant to be sexual. It was just suppose to be another touching moment of Asari nature. Something that would strengthen your bond, be it romantic or platonic, and represent a realization of the interconnectedness of the universe. Hence 'Embrace Eternity.'
                On the Final Flashback During the Three Endings: The reason why it flashed back to someone that was not necessarily your love interest was because the developers were forced to work within the constraints
of which characters might still be alive due to the massive amount of decisions present in the ME galaxy.
                On Vega: Sometimes, characters that are written develop a mind of their own. Vega is one of these characters. Though he may be very flirty, he developed into a strict military man that would not breach the chain of command. This is why he is not a romance option.
                On General Romance Options: We asked about why there were only five main romance options available in ME3. (Garrus, Tali, Ashley, Kaidan, and Liara)The response was that they felt that there were seven main romance options (including Traynor and Cortez,) which is more than there were in Mass Effect 2 where there were only six (Tali, Garrus, Thane, Miranda, Jack, and Jacob.)

                This is what we gathered. Again, we may be wrong on what we thought we heard on
everything except for the following.

                On this project: Over and over again, and from several different people, we were told that, for us to make a difference in future DLC, we need to continue speaking out in a unified voice. It will be easy to be drowned out by the movements that are campaigning for different endings. For us to succeed we must persevere and we must stand together.

Aryss, thank you so much for the summary! You and Nick and Visii have been amazing. I really appreciate all that you guys have done.

Their answer about Jacob seems kind of vague. What was their intent with him? In my opinion, he should have only hooked up with Brynn if he wasn't romanced. If romanced, he and Shepard should have had a happy reunion at the base. How could they think having him cheat on Shepard isn't offensive to the people who romanced him? I never did his romance but I still thought it was an awful thing to do to people who liked his romance and invested in it.

As for the flashbacks, it seems like they are making excuses. Technically, the VS could be dead, too. Example: I could kill Ash on Virmire and kill Kaidan during the citadel coup.Yet the VS appears in the flashback if you romance them, meaning the game knows they're alive. Thinking further, why does the character even need to be alive to appear? Why can't my Shepard remember the man she loves if he's dead? Something about their explanation just doesn't add up. D:

Was anything said about Thane?

Thank you so much Aryss, Nick, and Visii for everything you have done for this project. As for those answers...Hmm... Let's just say that I hope they will address our concerns and issues with the LI's relationships, epsecially with Jacob. Although I romanced Thane through my playthrough, the way they protrayed Jacob in ME3 was just terrible. As for Vega, *shakes fist* That's just making him a big tease!

Actually, in ME2, you could also romance Kelly so I guess ME2 and ME3 both have seven relationships, although if you didn't romance Garrus in ME2, he is not available...

Really, Bioware? Really? You honestly didn't think people would be offended and angry over what happened with Jacob? Explain to me how this was supposed to make people feel. I don't understand how through logical reasoning, you decided this outcome was acceptable and would not be offensive. That's utterly ridiculous.

And adding brand new romances is supposed to justify the fact that you DIDN'T DEVELOP THE OLD ONES? Or tossed them aside like garbage? You should have focused on continuity and catering to already established fans. I don't understand the reasoning behind this, either. Did you honestly expect people would like this?

OK, so... Vega is a better man than Kaidan, apparently? He was a subordinate, too. Since you ripped away TWO of FemSheps straight romances this would have helped even out the balance. Apparently, teasing us is more important to you. Trololololololol.

What I glean from this, is that you didn't care about what your existing fan base actually wanted. You decided to do what you thought would be artistic, grimdark and 'compelling'. Unfortunately, you failed on an epic level.

Bioware seemed to be overconfident that anything they did would be gold. They underestimated the power of nerd rage, apparently. If you decide to suddenly turn around and spit in the faces of your fans, they aren't gonna take it well. Especially people who had so much faith and trust in you.

I used to be one of those people.

This also smacks of 'we forgot Jacob was a romance', as well.  Lazy, just lazy.

There is a good point here. It feels tempting for each fan group to go off and do their own thing. The only problem is that that may lead to splits and muddle the voice of what we all want. On the other hand, the other way brings more autonomy to each group. Decisions decisions....or fan groups can do both.
Idk, how the heck can we get these guys attention?

Perhaps  each group does their own thing but then each group will contribute to a larger more unison project?
