If you had to choose between the multiplayer mode or a more fleshed out singpleplayer mode, what would you choose?

Basically, the status quo versus...

More side-missions that involve doing something aside from planet-scanning, having more than one hub world (Palaven, Thessia, Sur'Kesh, etc), and more (interesting) squadmates.

Oh yeah, and decent non-palette swap endings.

EDIT:  This is a hypothetical question.  Look up the definition of "hypothetical" before making a post about the MP team being separate from the SP team.

Multiplayer.... always.

WAY more re-playability... I could play the same 3 maps over and over if its still fun.

Though, I tend to hate single player games / pve so I'm biased, Mass Effect is the ONLY pve/single player series I actually liked/could get into. Rest of PVE stuff makes me want to take a nap.

I would trade the multiplayer, ME was always about the singleplayer, if the story was gutted to focus on MP, then shame on them for going along the mainstream route

Singleplayer all the way. I've got other things for multiplayer. Mass Effect was ALWAYS a singleplayer experience.

Single player all the way. ME's been a SP series up till now, I can honestly say I would not have missed MP if it had not been put into this one. Extra hub worlds please! :)

Single player, multiplayer should never have been anywhere near a Mass Effect game.

Get rid of multiplayer - Add more diverse places, deeper character development Oh yeah AND and ENDING THAT MAKES SENSE.

SP, of course, but the premise of this thread is based on a misunderstanding - the MP was developed by a separate team, any rushed or underdeveloped parts the SP may have are not the result of the MP being in the game. The problem is that this game didn't have enough development time.

Yup.  I've refused to pay multiplayer as a one-man protest.  ;c)

More singleplayer! Multiplayer feels out of place. Your immersion in the Mass Effect universe has always been emphasized as a singular personal experience and what is essentially 'horde mode' seems like something to tack on for the hell of it.

Single Player. Only reason I touched MP was to get readiness up. It was strictly a means to an end and one I couldve done without.

Single player for sure. However that doesn't mean I think they shouldn't have done a separate MP game. Just not while development of ME 3 was being done.

It would also have been nice to take part in more of those epic battles going on, instead of just getting a pop-up saying,

"Codex Updated: Miracle at Palaven"

Single player, definitely, the hell do i want a multiplayer mode in a game like ME?

Replayability is already there, lots of it (well.... there was replayability before the end >_>). Multiplayer was not needed.

Single player by far. I know it's probably not normal but I had at least 100 hours spent in each Mass Effect game. The only games I've spent more time in were MMOs.

SP.

I have no problem with MP so long as

1. It doesn't consume SP resources (which typically wouldn't be the case, it's mostly programming resources rather than scripting/story); and

2. It's not required, like it is now.

This game was started SP. It should stay SP. ME2 had so much more content. I would rather the team work on the content, then adding new features that it didn't start with. Like MP.

I'm surprised this is even a serious question. Mass Effect has always been a single player game that is primarily about storytelling and role playing. I'd trade in the multiplayer for more depth in the single player every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Incidentally if I recall correctly the group that worked on the multiplayer was an entirely separate team then the single player.  In other words, assuming we weren't completely lied to about this detail as well, in adding the multiplayer it took nothing away from the single player...too bad they chose to make playing multiplayer essential for the "best" ending.
