If you had to choose between the multiplayer mode or a more fleshed out singpleplayer mode, what would you choose?

Single player always and don't even start with multi player crap bull****.
I don't play RPG because of multi player crap.

When I want to play MP I play a game thats only purpose MP is.

Are you kidding me? Mass effect is all about the single player campaign! The only thing that might actually work is a coop campaign. But then again, I don't think so. The game is too personal and emotional for that. Might work very well with games like fallout and skyrim though.

This 100%.

Yup.  I've refused to pay multiplayer as a one-man protest.  ;c)

Agreed 100%. And what happens if you want to play ME3 like 3y later and want all available endings? Who will play multiplayer with you? Or you will be stuck with low battle readiness?

Multiplayer is actually quite fun, but first its still single player game. Current forced multiplayer if you want to unlock all "colours" for ending is very bad choice imo.

Mass Effect always has been a single player game, and when I heard about the MP, my first thought was: "How useless is this?!"... who knew that it was needed for galactic readiness... (gladly I own an Iphone, so I don´t need to play MP and can use the Datapad app to raise the readiness)

Get rid of MP and put more effort into SP... especially into better endings!

This.
I like the multiplayer, but if I had to choose between more multi and more single, more single easily. Multiplayer will always get monotonous fast. Its the same Sh** over and over again. Single Player in the ME universe when done right is varied and different, and if gien a choice between having more variance and difference possible in ME3, or more multiplayer maps that would quickly become monotonous... More varied SP please.

Basically, the status quo versus...

More side-missions that involve doing something aside from planet-scanning, having more than one hub world (Palaven, Thessia, Sur'Kesh, etc), and more (interesting) squadmates.

Oh yeah, and decent non-palette swap endings.

EDIT:  This is a hypothetical question.  Look up the definition of "hypothetical" before making a post about the MP team being separate from the SP team.

Single Player every time.

No question, singleplayer all the way. Even though the MP is not terrible, I would not miss it one bit if it meant I would actually get the game that was promised to me, because the Rachni queen had such a major impact..... sigh.

I feared MP would make the SP less than it could have been, I bet the resources they spent on the MP would have been much better spent on making the SP better than it is. This was a game that did not need an MP mode, a waste of resources in my opinion.

Singleplayer, no question. I wonder in which ways the MP in ME3 affected the quality of the whole game.

putting multiplayer into an sp game simply wastes programming and development efforts on something that has no place in the game. Bioware, please use your programming and development time to improve the single player experience.

Single player.

The multi-player option should be just that, OPTIONAL, and should have no bearing on the outcome of the single player campaign.

I'd call it a no brainer. If the whole multiplayer team had instead been the retake the earth team focusing on the final story arc and making it the highlight of the entire series then no one would have missed the multi-player one bit.

I'd gladly get rid of multiplayer even without getting a better singleplayer.
At least there wouldn't be that moronic galactic readiness mechanic.

Singleplayer. Of course it's singleplayer. There's a bazillion multiplayer games out there. Way too many. The number of good singleplayer games is decreasing and the combination recently just seems to result in both being average or both sucking.

And Mass Effect is a story-driven series. If I have to decide: F*CK Multiplayer, scrap it, burn it, take a dump on it, take all the hours you spent on it and put them into actually making the singleplayer decent.

I will trade the MP for much deeper single player experience any time, ME supposed to be a story that was influenced by each player choices,MP. As it stands now it a bit out of place and looks more like some kind of beta version ,there is a lot of work to be done for me, allthough I play the MP gets real boring after couple maps for a single session.

Single player. Would they have chosen to stick to the single game play recipe of the previous two installments instead of concentrating on multi player and then quickly hammering the rest together, i would have called that art and magic. Imaging how much they recognition they could have gotten . Praise from all corners. Instead i am left a with broken, half cooked game play and no replay value of the previous installments.

I would HAPPILY trade away my multiplayer component for more single-player. A lot of things in the story needed to be fleshed out more.

A lot of games do multiplayer much better than ME3. My time is better spent on those games
