If you had to choose between the multiplayer mode or a more fleshed out singpleplayer mode, what would you choose?

Single-player everytime. Playing MP in ME3 kind of felt like a chore to me, trying to get galactic readiness up.

SP.

I have no problem with MP so long as

1. It doesn't consume SP resources (which typically wouldn't be the case, it's mostly programming resources rather than scripting/story); and

2. It's not required, like it is now.

^ Pretty much this

SP all day long. I couldn't give a frig about MP for Mass Effect. I will not entertain even playing it. If it means I can't see Sheps take a breath so be it.

Single player. Do you even have to ask? Multiplayer shooters are a dime a dozen. If I wanted MP I'll buy gears of war no mass effect. The sad part is the MP of ME3 doesnt even distinguish itself from other MP shooters.

It's just horde mode with some power mixed in and more disconnections and lag. If they give me ME1's exploration with ME3's gameplay I could care less about the MP. But to really put things into perspective just ask yourselves if you would buy the MP as a stand alone perchase in its current state.

I rest my case.

Single Player, absolutely. ME was born SP and should have died SP.

Don't get me wrong, the MP is really good imo but, as all multiplayer games do, it gets boring in the long run. And it doesn't give the same emotions that a very good story does. I'll easily forget a solo gold run compared to the fantastic quests on Tuchanka, for example, or Mordin's sacrifice.

So yeah, I'll be going with more SP.

If I had to choose? Single Player.

I've never been a fan of shooters, ME was the exception.

Singleplayer all the way. I've got other things for multiplayer. Mass Effect was ALWAYS a singleplayer experience.

Exactly, There is always a new MP game coming down the pipe but as for good single player games... not so much.

SP, who cares about MP? im sure some people liked it, but the first 2 games werent about multiplayer, why would the third be? Its an added bonus. We all cared about the singleplayer.
And i did some MP, bronze, silver, gold, after 10 matches its boring, simple.

More SP please.

I did try and solo a couple of MP maps. And found out two things really bad lag, and that I suck at it:sick:.
I tried solo just because I am not comfortable playing MP.

This game was started SP. It should stay SP. ME2 had so much more content. I would rather the team work on the content, then adding new features that it didn't start with. Like MP.

Single player without a doubt. If I want multiplayer I play a game that... you know... focuses on multiplayer. I play mass effect because it, guess what, focuses on single player.

Single player. I think if they really wanted multiplayer, they should have found a way to make it a separate product.

Singleplayer because Mass Effect is all about the story and the campaign.  ME mp is just fighting enemies you've already fought throughout the campaign but on smaller maps.

There is a lot of design space in MP with new maps and different modes, so I want more multiplayer contend.

If would be willing to buy more single player contend, but only if the ending is improved. Bluntly I don`t believe that developing more multiplayer or more singleplayer contend affects each other, so yeah give me both.

Maybe allow us to add more multiplayer maps and give it as a N7 mission in game.

I haven't touched multi-player since the demo... so I wouldn't miss it if it was sacrificed for the betterment of the main game.

Hell I would trade multiplayer for a new weapon. Even though i have played it a few times to increase my readiness it adds almost no value to me.

I kind of like the idea of multiplayer as a way to extend the gameplay if you like it, without having to replay the story over and over, which is one issue I had with Mass Effect, but it should never compromise the single player, and I worry it was forced in by EA's choice rather than Bioware's.

Also, I criticise the implementation somewhat. The idea of having other players destroys some gameplay, such as sniper slowdown, or freezing to select and aim powers. Also, all classes were limited to only three powers. What I do like is playing as different races, but too limited. No decent biotic krogan, sentinel doesn't count. Drell seem odd as they're hardly seen in the game. Woulda been cool to see geth. Would work, see Legion fighting other geth in ME2.
Also makes sense as it means you don't just have a group of Shepard's fighting alongside each other.

There are more than enough multiplayer shooters though, and I worry about the players it might bring from the various FPS's with a bad attitude for it.
But equally it's nice for those who like it to play with others, rather than just talk about it.

Would prefer or like a single player horde mode though, so you can retain your single player build but fight without having to repeat the story. This would include two squadmates of choice too if you have specified builds for them. This could also be a single player way of improving galactic readiness if it had been included, since there are many who dislike multiplayer, and quite rightly, especially the impact it has on the single player story. Even if you can get a 'perfect' ending (apparently) without it, there's a certain principle involved.

Mixed thoughts on the issue. Kinda like it, changes normal gameplay though, so still can't repeat story battles as such without repeating the story endlessly, including all the story and cutscenes which you may not want to watch over and over if you just want to play..
