Singleplayer hands down
If you had to choose between the multiplayer mode or a more fleshed out singpleplayer mode, what would you choose?

MP is fun to play with friends so I'll give Bioware credit in that department, but I'd trade it in a heartbeat for a more fleshed out SP.

I certainly would prefer a better SP experience as opposed to a so-so SP experience + MP that I'm apparently not going to play ....

Dump multi-player, add more single player. Mass Effect was a single player RPG for 2 entire games and there was absolutely no reason to add it to the third and final game of the trilogy. If they wanted multi-player in the ME universe they can create another game (ie ME MMORPG, or something along the lines of Halo).

Single player definitely, multiplayer is fun but I could do without it

Singleplayer, multiplayer is a waste of time.

Single, single, single, single! ...and did I mention single-player?
Multiplayer is all right (actually, I applaud that they don't allow you to type, as this eliminates most of the jerk behavior other FPS multiplayers are rife with), and ME3 actually has a legit reason for these people TO exist and to be fighting alongside each other. However, I personally prefer the story-telling single-player has to simply shooting things over and over again on the same maps.

I think I read that a different company did the MP, but even if it wasn't I don't see how a MP would interfere with the game narrative. You don't need a team of writer to spend weeks working on a horde based MP... But I do think gameplay was effected, as the team had to "balance" the classes, not a huge concern when the game was SP only, mostly by nerfing the hell out of the poor soldier. The soldier just carry 5 of the heaviest weapons he can find, since even without a 200% delay most of his powers are useless. Have you tried doing a mission by only spamming the concussive blast? Yeah, didn't think so...

yea the different company got paid thus taking money away from the SP part of it.
They could have expaned it after, and left Mass Effect 1,2,3 "Shepard" story.

Single player always, that's the reason I bought this game. Sadly BioWare had to do one of the most insane and idiotic moves by putting those damn, useless and depressing endings.

Even though I actually enjoy the multiplayer, I would still gladly trade it for more singleplayer content. I think single player always has to be the number one priority. Then again I'm certain the multiplayer already has it's own content coming and it's own team working on it. So I'm quite happy to favour any additions being to the single player experience because (lets be honest) they're definitely going to add stuff to the MP soon.

I have absolutely enjoyed MP in ME3. However, I would have gladly said scrap it in a heart beat for a more fleshed out SP experience. If we could have actually gotten multiple ending choices, then tossing the MP would have saved a lot of heartache. Also feel like the team made changes to the core franchise to add to the MP aspect. Some of the different enemy classes seemed forced. While I realize the game has to and should have evolved, I feel like they really lost touch with the ME1 "feeling".

I would vote singleplayer, every single time.

More fleshed out single player mode. I don't like MMORPG and I've never been big on multiplayer games either.

Every single person who has played all three (and didn't like the ending) is going to say they'd want the multiplayer taken out for a better ending.
I liked the multiplayer, personally, but my main issue is that adding on multiplayer should never be done unless they have the single player campaign nailed. If you can find any legitimate fault in single player, you shouldn't be spending time and money on multiplayer. This is regarding games that were single player only beforehand (Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, Bioshock 2, Dead Space 2 etc.)

This question shouldn't even need to be asked. Obvious answer is single player. It was that way from the start and worked near perfectly. Why alter a formula that already works? *Sigh*

I was disappointed to find that Mass effect 3 had multiplayer. The MP aspect just took away from the great single player campaign by taking up development time that could of been spent perfecting the game itself. Now we are left with a rushed and unpolished game full of plotholes that cold of been so much better.

do you have proof of this?
can you prove that they took away from the SP budget? Maybe they added on to the budget for MP

Single Player.
EDIT
I do enjoy the multiplayer part too, but SP is what I bought the game for, and what I expect it to excel in.

Singleplayer. If I wanted mp I'd pick up a game that was mmo or mp.
