If you had to choose between the multiplayer mode or a more fleshed out singpleplayer mode, what would you choose?

The multiplayer game should have been a standalone, seperate game entirely. People could have bought it for 20 bucks or whatever, and played it without playing the Mass Effect RPG. Then, if they liked it, they could buy the RPG. Cross-game bonuses could apply (like being able to create War Assets by promoting characters in MP), but don't penalize me for not being a MP gamer.
Don't force MP modes into my singelplayer games, please. Every time this happens, the single player mode gets marginalized.
Give me back my wonderful single player experience with lots of fun and replay value, like ME1. Give me vehicles, exploration, minigames, everything they took the time and effort to put into the first game. Don't slap on a boring, repetitive multiplayer game and then force me to play it if I want to get the 'best' ending out of the single player experience. Sell the horde mode fans their game, and let me play mine.

So many people against MP... if you dont like it, dont participate.
I haven't played MP at all yet. But I still hate it, and the fact that BioWare put it in Mass Effect 3 and made it so that if you don't play it, you can't get the max EMS needed.

Multiplayer is fun, but if dropping it means single player would be more awesome, then I'm all for it.

I would trade the multiplayer, ME was always about the singleplayer, if the story was gutted to focus on MP, then shame on them for going along the mainstream route

That said, I have to admit that I kind of like multiplayer and that it made me more open towards multiplayer experiences in the Mass Effect universe. I do however agree with blackangel209 that GoW Horde is way better - in particular because ME 3 really has issues with the omni-potent spacebar on PC, but also because of the low number of maps and the strange magic boxes.
However, given that they care for the ending and maybe even provide additional DLC for single player, I am open to buy a multiplayer game, given that it focuses on cooperative gameplay (I just don't like deathmatch, except for sessions with friends in front of a large TV attached to a console).

Joking aside, ME is a single player RP experience, nothing else.

Single player all the way. ME's been a SP series up till now, I can honestly say I would not have missed MP if it had not been put into this one. Extra hub worlds please!
This 100%.
Yup. I've refused to pay multiplayer as a one-man protest. ;c)
Make that two, I haven't touched it once

That being said, I'm enjoying the MP much more than I thought I would. All they need to do now is add some type of short story-based mode to it and it'll be almost perfect.
Of course, the MP was developed by a seperate team and thus had no impact whatsoever on the SP, so moot point.

Singleplayer all the way. I've got other things for multiplayer. Mass Effect was ALWAYS a singleplayer experience.
