Hello!
I have a problem. Recently acquired in Origin - DAO: Digital Deluxe Edition, I received an e-mail confirming the purchase, but the code on the game or what the letter did not specify the content and I have never opened.
Screenshot is attached: http://www.pixshock....ecbb8703f5.jpg
As can be seen on it, or what the code was not, however, Origin does not automatically open the content.
Help solve the problem or tell me what can I do?
I turned to the livechat but they said that the content is opened automatically, but will not open.
Thank you!

Please check out the stickies (they will also help you to provide more info to help us help you better). Also, make sure you are updated to 1.05 as that alone solves many DLC authentication issues.

Updated to the latest version, nothing has happened :( in stickies as nothing. To re-start a new character - also with no results. In invintare empty, in the "downloadable resources" is empty ... Where do I find content? .. As it should appear? ..

First things first.  "Read First".

After that, what do you see in http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php ?  That is where you see what you should get in game.  If the right DLC and content is not there, then it has not been successfully registered in the first place.  In the hope that you have registered without realising it.

For online digital downloads, in most cases you get the keys and codes in an email after your purchase.  If that's what is missing, noone here can help.  Only EA and/or the digital distributer can do that.

PS:  the email that the codes come in may be sent seperately from a different automated address.  There is a possibility that your ISP or setup will treat it as spam.  Be sure to thoroughly check junk-mail folders and if it went there, hope it has not been deleted already.

On this page I have http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php Dragon Age did not appear even though the game is registered and assigned to the profile. Screen: http://www.pixshock....1aae2c0e58.html
In the e-mail or any individual letters did not come :(
Apparently I am content to your Deluxe Edition and can not open ... ;(

You can open it as my content? .. Or where can I contact to fix the problem?

I don't mean to sound 'funny', but have you scrolled all the way down on that page? Dragon Age is not new and it's content usually appears at the bottom of entitlement lists....

Then I'm stumped. General EA is notorious for 'variable quality' tech support, so maybe try them again. Otherwise, Origin support is the only other bet unless someone else here has more ideas. Non-disc installs are not my area of expertise, sorry :(

Dragon Age is quite old now, and the newer Ultimate Edition is quite cheap. I recommend it. It comes with all the bonus content and once patched to 1.05 is as good a Dragon Age origins setup as you're likely to see.

Ultimate is no longer quite the bargain that it was.  Quite a lot of the additional content included with it was date-limited and is no longer valid, making it only somewhat better of a deal than the Original Campaign package, depending on the current pricing of each.

I don't think that's entirely true.  While UE did originally come with a March expiration date on the "Ultimate" content, EA/Bioware is continuing to honor the purchases, from what I've seen. If people do get an expiration error, chatting with an EA "advisor" at help.ea.com usually fixes the problem.

It was apparently a very recent development, and I hadn't stayed on top of it.

So if I buy the Ultimate Edition let's say tomorrow and then install the 1.05 patch will I have the same problem or not?

If you buy the UE the code in the box will not work, if you download the patch Bioware have provided it unlocks all the DLC instead of the code though. The problem is that EA do not apparently know this has a solution and they ask you to buy all the DLC you already paid for and EA might be the first point of contact for customers who try to use the code and notice does not work. Others will simply return the product before coming here to the Bioware social network looking for a solution which even then they would have to do a lot of digging around to find out as there is no thread title labelled in a way that answers their problem directly. In two days time this may even be expanded to the DA2 title as the code in the box also has expiry date which runs out on 31st of this month.

The thread from which this quote has been extracted just now kept going after the initial bad news, and although right out of its box, the UE's DLC isn't all considered valid, the above situation finally appeared as a resolution.

The OP of that thread made some leaps of logic that were understandable, but incorrect.  I've added to that thread and messaged the OP.  Thanks for pointing that out.

To this OP's original issue... a few things to consider as we troubleshoot this:

1) DA:O and DA2 use two different ways of installing and authorizing DLC.  DA:O's has been flawed from the beginning, which may explain why DA2 uses a different process (much more similar to the way Mass Effect 2 and 3) deals with DLC.

2) I believe the EA tech support person is correct when it comes to DA2... DA2's DLCs are all executable files, which means Origin can install them.  DA:O, however, is a different matter.  As far as I know, you still need to redeem the DLC code via this website, the Bioware Social Network.

So my first question is, where did you purchase this from?  Who was the vendor?  Was it from EA directly (via Origin) or was it from a third party (like Amazon.com).

I would also encourage you to check your spam folers for the missing e-mail.  DLC codes are ususally sent separately from the invoice showing your purchased the game(s).

Finally, the entitlements page at: http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php

... will NOT list Dragon Age: Origins, but it should list the DLC that comes with your version as separate items (e.g., The Stone Prisoner, Blood Dragon Armor, etc.)

The game was purchased by Origin
The problem here is precisely the disparity between the authorization and sinhronization these old games to BioWare Origin. A similar situation occurred with my Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 2, which I just bought in Origin, but its content is not received. But then the problem was resolved very quickly find technical support. And then, I did not get me their full content. But even for that thanks.
Regarding the situation with the DAO, the problem was solved only today, after many days and a lot of explanation and when I had already beat the game. Although technical support in the EA is the best, but anyway I still have the discomfort of the situation ...

Please READ the comment immediately above your own. THIS forum is for gamers, except it's the off season now, and the game is very old. Official support has ALWAYS been c/o EA, just as Sarto concluded. There is nothing that your fellow gamers could do for you in here, whether they were still on hand or not.

Or, instead of lecturing him, you could simply say, "Go to help.ea.com."

Usually, I don't say even that much. I just post the link, and let that suffice.
