Just bought my copy... install went great but crashing to desktop on startup.  I get the first popup that shows the usual options if I try either Configure or Play,  game crashes.  I have the latest nvidia drivers for my 8800GTS, latest directx, E8600 intel running 4gigs of ram on XP (32bit).  Anyone else having similar problems?

My game does the same thing, only it crashes when it tries to configure itself... i still havent figured it out

Anyway to bypass the configuration BS? I too am having the same problem with it crashing while trying to configure to the system specs... I run an AMD Dual-Core with 3 gigs RAM and a GeForce 8600 on crappy Vista... should be more than enough for the reqs

OK UNDER CONFIGURE OPTION UNCHECK PLAY IN FULL-SCREEN I DID IT AND IT WORKED!

This crash happens generally when you have installed in the long way ie extracting all the files directly from the dvd.



Try this:



Run the PhysX and Direct X installers first and then run the game

I found that you can bypass the configuration step by running the daorigins.exe file directly.
the path to this file should look something like: C:\\..\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\daorigins.exe
