I found the fix!! I figured out that if you delete the addins.xml and manifest.xml files in the



C:\\Users\\username\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings  folder and redownload all of the DLC from ingame that it will also fix the issues
with the DAupdater.exe meaning that those files were corrupted somehow.
Anyway, this works and I am able to install third party mods now
with the DAupdater.exe !



I recommend making a backup of those two files before deleting them just in case you need them later. However, I have a feeling you won't even want them once this is fixed!

Thanks. Works for me, too. Though it's a pain having to redownload Stone Prisoner and Wardens Keep again. At least it made "The Edge" working, which stuck downloading before.

Again: Thanks! People like you and the whole community make up for the incompetence of Bioware. Their DLC system is broken, I wonder if they realize.

The game will automatically create these files anew when the game redownloads the DLCs.

That's is the whole point of this workaround: Either the DLC files but more likely the addins.xml and manifest.xml are corrupted (if you looked into to files with a text editor then you'll most likely agree that attemps to manually fix errors in there would be futile), thus erasing them and letting the game recreate them fixes the error.

I have deleted the file addins.xml (the file manifest.xml was not in that folder, I don't know where it is) but when I try to redownload the content, it tells me the code was used and it cannot used again...

I have deleted my reg number in the website and registered the game again, and it continue telling me that the code is not valid! Firts it tells me everything is ok, and then it tells me the code is not valid. WHY? It is the exact code I have in the game manual! AndDAupdater keeps frashing.

Didn't work for me. I have deleted all the DLC from the direcotry plus deleted all the xml files and the DAupdater crash appears when I run the game.
