Smart coworker and yes, arguing with feminists is like arguing with a brick wall. It's not really off topic, after all, this thread IS about female entitlement. Wouldn't most people just want good players to play with rather than a specific gender? Why even bother specifying gender preference?

To answer this question, though, I don't care who I play with as long as they're vaguely competent, have a decent to good connection to the host, and aren't jerks.

Thats the problem really. Some players (in any game) will totally disregard a good player just to have a female on their team. It really is quite sad. I do live streaming on twitch and it's exactly the same as players on a game. Some (not all) live streamers that have girls playing are really not as good as some of the guys who stream but the poor guys get no veiwers becasue everyone goes to the female streams and is like "omg it's a gurl gamerz!" 24/7.

I play with both females and males and make no favortism towards one gender or the other. I have no desire to be part of the silly online gaming relationship flirting crap or w/e ppl like that do who horde over other female gamers. I play games to play. I think it's fair to say for the true and honest female gamers out there who just want to play games and not boot up their pc / comsole and deal with a wannabe online dating service they need a break. I swear it feels like that online sometimes.

It's one of the main reasons I do not use a mic unless I am with friends in party chat.

Bizarre. I don't care a wit about anything other than ability. I use my mic but mostly to talk about game content, such as weapons, unlocks, etc. I think I have only (as far as I was aware) played with 2 females. It didn't matter either way/.

You know, that person (male, female or otherwise) who rages over chat the entire match: the sort of person for whom a mute button is implimented in most situations.

because of such a huge ratio in such areas that are full of males (especially young males with raging hormones) & far fewer females, girls get overwhelmed with attention (like this thread, LOL)

(also on online dating sites, girls get 20-200+ new messages from guys PER DAY) & usual ratio is 3 guys to 1 girl.

It is bizarre indeed. You wouldn't beleive some of the stuff I've seen, heard, and even witnessed over xbox live lol. Games like Reach and Call of Duty are a playground for a lot of silly boys who do nothing but try to find girls online. For any guys out there that want to know what it feels like to get harrassed and constantly sent crude (and very unreasonable) mesages all you need to do is create a gamertag that sounds girly and make your armor pink or purple and you'll receive a ton of ridiculous attention. My friend had these trial cards for xbox live and created an account like that just for kicks to see how bad it really was. The results were shocking lol

To be fair not all guys are like this and not all females on xbox live are perfect either. Some females go out of their way to grab attention and don't actually play the game but just be a distraction. It's a really strange community to say the least. I think many guys just haven't gotten over the fact that yes females game and they game a lot more than they initially expected I bet. Topics like this always fascinate me becasue it is a strange phenomenon of wierdness and trying to break it down can get confusing lol

I don't care about gender since I've been lucky enough with the people I play with but reading stuff like http://fatuglyorslutty.com (warning for plenty crude language), I can understand why some women don't want to play with guys. It's not because they think all guys are stupid, or that they think they're better than guys, they just want to have a nice time wihout getting sexually harassed. I don't think that's too much to ask for.

How is feminism not misandric? a logical fallacy? lol She does not explain in the original post why playing with males is aggravating, merely, that it is, the implication being that males are stupid, or smply that she would prefer to play with females (which is understandable given the fact that women have an inherent in-group preference for their females which males lack) for no other reason other than they are female.

Feminism isn't misandric because it deals not with underpowering and devaluing men, but with deconstructing patriarchy which is harmful not just to women and girls but also to men and boys. That you do not understand that proves that you have a lot to learn, and I would suggest researching what feminism actually is from reputable sources (for instance, social/behavioral science research) before spouting off baloney like "feminism is misandry." The typical logical fallacy of "feminism is misandry" (a fallacy of composition) is because there are, sure, some very minor subsets of feminism that adhere to misandry ... and for whatever reason, people then equate feminism with misandry. 

And no, we don't know the motives of the OP, but stating that males on xBox are "aggravating" doesn't imply that those males are stupid. We don't know if she thinks that or that she was being harassed, or ... who knows.
