Joined a lobby with one player, heard girly voices from the earphones and said hi. She quit.

I think one game I played one of the people with a mic sounded like a girl, not sure if they were or not, their mic wasn't that good, so it was hard to tell for sure. Given that there are indications that girls are less likely to use mics to avoid harassment, and that only about 1 out of 10 people seems to use a mic in my experience, I've probably played with more girls than that, just without knowing it.

I'm not really sure how to friend people in the game, and I'm satisfied with random public games, so meh concerning that. I'd really love to see more people using mics, especially in gold and silver, bronze they often just use the mics when they have them to be annoying.

Yeah, the whole discrimination against Women who play the vidjas thing pisses me off.

Like, what makes them so inferior that they're not allowed to play to? And if they do they have to be insulted to no end.

Guess some kids aren't raised on how to treat girls properly (I know i was raised to respect)

I mean, girls can be good at them to. I once played a girl in a game of NHL 11 (A game i know inside-out from the amount of time i sunk into it) and i got my ass kicked 6-0. They can play too, and sometimes the are better then us

I treat them all the same, no matter girl, guy or both. I just play the game and hope we can work together. Works without speaking most of the time, but if someone begins to talk, I do too. I'm just not that good at understanding spoken English, due to different dialects.

Anyways. Just play the game, no matter who the otherone is.

Precisely why I don't go around announcing it.
It really shouldn't be a big deal at all that you're playing with someone of the opposite gender.

I'm a girl and I have to say I haven't had any bad experiences on Bronze.....yet. Maybe that will increase on Silver and Gold.

Eh, I've seen like 3 girls so far, but most of them said "thanks" only.
Possibly it's because of how people are still not used to the fact that girls actually do play these games as well, and are treated in strange ways once they uncover their gender. Such is our culture, apparently.

I'm a girl and I play Multiplayer. I've got one friend who is as well a girl and we met via multiplayer. Maybe it's just considence but I don't think very many girls player multiplayer in Mass Effect. I could be wrong and just haven't played with very many girls. But whenever I do play with randoms, they're mostly guys and they're sometimes shocked when they hear me speak. I've even had one guy tell me that he thought it was weird that I played video games. Now I'm not trying to brag about my gaming, I know I'm not the best gamer out there, but I've seemed to impress a lot of guys that I've played with. Not sure if that's cause I'm a girl or because I'm actually good at the game.

I also had another guy tell me that he thought it was weird that I loved to snipe. His words were, "GIrls don't usually like the sniper rifles and usually just carry an SMG, pistol or assualt rifle." I'm not sure if that's true but I LOVE my sniper class. I don't have anything agaisnt other gun types but the sniper rifle is ... amazing. The Mantis is one of my favorites but the M-98 Widow owns my heart.

Lots of us love to snipe, I have like a few other girl friends who are badass sniper, just that some of them actually sniped without using Infiltrators because they don't really know how to use Infiltrators. But still.. badass snipers are badass snipers, regardless of what class they use.
