Ever.
It's kind of scary.
None of my friends hopped on the ME3 bandwagon due to the ending hatetrain, so I'm playing with people that never talk, yet - always manage to snipe that phantom sneaking up behind me at the nick of time. Say what you will, but PC gamers have some funky PC voodoo.
So all of that to say: I have no idea what the general demographic is on the PC. Not sure if it's more comforting to know this also happens on the ecksbawks. Let's be the icebreakers in our matches, damn it! Seriously, the people that do quick matches can't be that scary, right?

Yeah talking doesn't happen too much. But, I've been in a handful of matches where people did speak and not just complain about certain aspects of multiplayer or complain about difficulty or complaints in general. it was fun

I did too. I was so envious <_<
Edit: To clarify, I want a wife that will play video games like ME with me lol
Being married to a gamer isn't always easy =)
Poor hubby is a gamer, but mainly of DA:O, DAII and SWTOR, but I have always wanted him to play ME with me. First I just happened to have a nice convo with Liara or Tali when he was in the room, hoping that they perhaps would make it easier for me... nope, didn't work. The story of the series is great, but he has already heard all of it after being married a few years to a ME-fangirl. Tried bribing with dinner if he would try the game out... no luck with that either. Darn that man. Finally he saw me playing MP and said that it looked like fun, he might give it a go. Halleluja. MP is the best thing this year if it finally get's my husband to play ME. Poor guy, I was also really upset when his warden was mean to my fav LI Alistair, lol. We always have a blast when we play together, but don't always want to play the same game at the same time.

Who *doesn't* like the idea of badass gamer gals?
Nothing inherently against playing with dudes, but variety is nice. Thus far I've never run into another girl on mic.

I'm sure there are more female gamers than I that have this issue and don't use their mics because of it.

Everyone I've played with online is a guy! And it's... aggravating, I guess.
So, if you're a girl who plays multiplayer on Xbox 360 (headset use is preferred), would you please add me? I think it would be nice to get an all-girl group together.
GT: xpheonix57
EDIT: And just so you know, guy or girl, feel free to add me. Everyone I've talked to in this thread seems pretty nice. However, if you do turn out to be a jerk, I'll totally unfriend you =_='
A person's gender isn't the reason I add them to my friends list. It is more along the lines of, can you hold your own in the game. And if I get along with you and have fun together.

Male gamers get tiresome after awhile if they know you're a girl. On a side note, I don't know what difference it would make it this game - on PC at least I have heard maybe 3 people talk since I played my first multiplayer match (release day).
Thats not always true. it doesnt matter to me as long as you play intelligently

And yeah, dating someone who is also a gamer isn't always fun because then you both fight over who gets to play the xbox/ps3.

That's why you play PC duh.
Anyways this is a really sad attempt to get females on your friends list. Neither gender is better and frankly I just turn down the audio and have music.

29. On the internet, all girls are men, and all kids are undercover FBI agents or Perverted Justice Decoys.
30. There are NO girls on the internet.

I don't really dig talking over the mic, save it's with someone I know IRL.

As a female, I play ME3 MP, but rarely ever use my mic. I was cursed with a voice that sounds very similar to a young boy over mics, so if I ever peep up, I normally get insulted for the rest of the game ('why are you playing ME3 little boy? Go back home to your mommy' etc..)
I'm sure there are more female gamers than I that have this issue and don't use their mics because of it.
that happens more than you know lol
the best thing is to just play along with it then giggle after the match to yourself about the misconceptions they had about your age and gender due to the way you sound through a mic lol

my friend, apparently a lot of guys think she is a boy in multiplayer lobbies and more than often her being her crazy self totally plays along with it and usually fools them pretty good.
I get a good laugh out of it myself.

Anyhow - just showing support for the female gamers out there. You are not alone. Back to our Medic/Support combo in BF3.

I've noticed this too, but I have a friend who adds random players.... a lot of them are European, or from Asia. And in relation to this thread, quite a few have been women.
I guess it depends on what time you play...
