How does liliana go from following the warden to following hawke and being in charge of the faction ?
i'm playing through DAO atm and haven't played DA2 in awhile so my memory isn't so hot but i'm trying to figure out how liliana fits into these stories ?

Leliana never follows Hawke, but she does make a couple of appearances in DA2.

When you play DA:O, you will see how devoted she is to the Maker. That can explain her role in later DA installments, but afaik, how she came to be a Seeker is never specifically described. In the latest novel, if you put two and two together, it's fairly obvious why she supports the Divine.

It's a way of hand waving Liliana's result from DA:O.

She is either goes barding or chantry-ing. As a seeker she can do both and the result can be simplified to dialogue rather than padding parts of story people may or may not see, like drunk Alistar.

Furthermore, the Warden either died or went off running Amerathine (or however its spelled).

After Witch's Hunt DLC, the Warden either dissapears with Morrigan, dissapears while traveling, or rules over Ferelden with Alistar/Anora, freeing up Liliana to go wherever.

...and if she dies in the process, she "Get's Better"

ok sorry if it fubar'd the wording lol.
anyway its just weird how she plays a role in DA2 where as like morrigan has a kid with the warden and never to be heard of again. same for other characters don't come up in DA2 even a little except i think allistar and anders from origins & awakening.
what is she seeking that is so important ? and why is she leading such a group that grills that dwarf in the story and not just talk to hawke ?.

Oh, right.  Well here's the Wiki, it's still a *hand wave* Mysterious Organization, but it should show you some information about it.

ok thanks this could help.

moving on with my semi idiotic questions...WTF i read that DA3 won't use the warden or hawke WTF is that about ? what bioware refuses to do another shepard where the characters choices and all are imported game to game ?

You read wrong. They just haven't figured out how to do it, or in what way it they will be implementing the importing of choices from DA:O to DA2 and into DA3 because of bugs in the imports which were fixed (somewhat) by patches which do not apply to import data created before the patches were made.

My own guessing says they're going to reuse Hawke as an NPC, but the Warden will probably only exist in letters, books, and so on. That's the only likely reason why you spend the game creating a "aggressive" "diplomatic" or "snarky" Hawke, to make him/her into a scriptable NPC.

doesn't that seem alittle pointless to have two games focused on two characters and just to drop them both as playable characters in the third game for a whole new character ? which all of this gives me a funny feeling that we're not suppose to get attached to our character like say shepard in ME series.

I'm pretty sure I read that each DA game with have a new protagonist. The games are supposed to be about the world and not certain player characters.

I didn' like that in DA2 all what you did in DA:O was almost uninfluential...

Well, to be fair, in DA2 many of the decisions you made in DA2 were uninfluential.  So expecting a whole different game to matter was a lot to ask  :D

I can live with having only the most basic things carry from one game to the next, but within DA2, I wanted a lot more freedom.  I felt I couldn't really role play and was just acting out a script.

This.  The Dragon Age stories are about The Dragon Age, and all the things that are going on durring this time (it's a busy age so far).  Mass Effect was about Shepard.

It's a different focus and, given how people have responded to ME3, probably the safer one.  Just so long as they don't keep bringing back NPC's for us to get attached to.  You hear me Bioware, if you're going to have recurring NPC's throughout all the DA games make sure we hate their guts.

You mean like the Magi boon being turned down (that was pretty much ignored in Awakening and Witch Hunt, which is when it should have been properly addressed), or the Dalish boon turning out badly (with the inferred implication that the Dalish may have been killed in the Hinterlands)? Yeah, I have to admit that I didn't see a point in having things turn out so badly simply to try to seem "mature," especially when it makes The Warden's actions in being rewarded for his efforts in saving the world seem so pointless.
