WAAAAAAH!
Ok now that I have that out of my system... heh.
The live cert process blows. Some companies may not mind spending the thousands it takes with each patch to rush out a few fixes (like MW2 recently) but others would rather make that money worthwhile by fixing more of the necessary issues while not breaking other stuff.
They would rather not play the part of a redneck carpenter and just git 'er done.
That said, they could skip the live process by providing a loadable disc like you get with the game mags. Sadly any content that goes on a MS box goes through their process but they could cut costs by not forcing content to travel through their bandwidth and following the live updating protocols.
That said I was disappointed with some of the bugs but thankfully never came across anything that a quick reload wouldn't cure. Inconvenient? Sure. Life threatening? Nope.
If something like this causes you so much grief and aggravation, perhaps your priorities need to be evaluated. Rather than ranting here in an impotent manner, either take the advice of others or STFU. The rants don't help and restating the same issues over, and over, and over, and over... don't help.
For those that are new and coming up with issues, help them if you can. By help I mean actual solutions, not whining about getting a different game while thinking about sacrificing the children of the developers.
I'm sorry if I offend anyone by not jumping on the trendy bash EA bandwagon but I've never been one for trends. Bioware kept me gaming pretty well and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until they prove they aren't worth trusting anymore. I played ME2 at PAX this year and I'm waiting for it eagerly. There are bound to be a few bugs but nothing has ever been perfect... especially when the opinion of others are involved.
