There is no valid reason for liking the endings.

As someone who hates the endings on every level it is possible to hate something, this is not true. There are many valid reasons for anyone who wants to to like, even love the endings.

There are no valid reasons for saying the endings are good though.

As i said there are no valid reasons to like the endings period.

and you are wrong. People do like them. That is a fact and nothing you say can change that.

Also: Vigil hates this entire ****ing thread.

See, the Ultimate Sacrifice ending to DA:O was brilliant. I personally sacrificed my Amell character because she was doomed from the start in my mind. It worked because I saw what happened to all the people she cared about afterwards. I learnt that Sten went back home saying that he met "one" worthy human being. I learnt that Oghren named his kid after her. I learnt that Alistair became a mess because his loved one died. I had closure, resolution.

We have none of these things in the ME3's endings. I don't know how Garrus is gonna cope with Shep's death. I don't know if Wrex will ever be able to go back to Tuchanka and to see Baraka and their little Mordin. I don't know if the forces I united are going to be able to make it him. I can only speculate. And no, it's not good, it's lazy writing and it goes completely against what the game was all about in the first place.

This. Except I never could sacrifice my characters, and I appreciate that BioWare gave me the choice not to.
But even when you have to sacrifice, you get closure, you preserve the world. It's not some nebulous future you're saving, it's everything you love.

god d*** i cant believe im about to do this....

This is your opinon. Your opinon does not make it fact for everyone. I ABHORE the ending on the highest level. I however respect another person's vision. You are however turning your opinon into fact. You hate the ending, i hate the ending, lots of people hate the ending, but some do not. As long as they provide their views ( AS WE SHOULD) without turning opinon into fact than there is no reason to not be social.

TL:DR Your opinon does not = fact , dont treat it as such it makes you sound foolish.

The majority are Casey Hudson's alternate accounts.

Well he shouldnt be writing anything period.  Perma banned from writing emails, notes etc...  And Deus Ex needs to be taken away from him till he learns to behave.

Actually, there are. The themes that are introduced are interesting. Personally I think they're completely out of place but some people can appreciate or even love them. No need to attack them or hate them for having an opinion. Freedom of speech is important.

There. Is. No. Valid. Reason. To. Like. The. Endings.

Look, I loathe the endings just as much as you do. But people have different opinions. Please aknowledge that. It's not a terrible thing.

There is if you look at them seperated from the rest of the ME trilogy.

EXACTLY.

I mean it's already been proven in the Mass Effect lore than regardless of a Reaper invasion every 50,000 years, organic life will continue to evolve into a new cycle of advanced, space-faring civilizations. So what if we ended the cycle for a future 10,000 years ahead of us? If the lore is correct, we may as well have let the Reapers win and be done with it.

This alone proves how broken the endings are.

I like lady gaga's Telephone. There's such thing as bad taste.

There's no valid reason to defend the endings from a perspective of craft, though. I will give you that.

parangon conversation with javik who is asking if shep cares about his friends. Shep says something like "of course they matter, if I didn't have them, there would be only death in my life, and it is not enough".

This is exactly why i loved the trilogy, and purely wholeheartedly HATED the ending.

Completely agreed. Mordin said it best in ME2: since the galaxy doesn't have a face, he gave it his nephew's face. That way he can fight for it.

That's exactly it, Bioware goes against themselves and their own rules, sentences and concepts in so many ways with this endings that I can't even begin to understand how some people do actually agree with them.

I despise the endings, but I actually think they could, with some adjustments (e.g. get rid of the Normandy scene) work as A ending. Just not THE ending.

It's nonsense like this why the Retakers are called whiny, entitled and rude.

According to Reaper logic, these poor organics will eventually make synthetics who will kill them.  So better to have obliterated all life in the universe because the cycle will just begin again anyway without the Reapers.

We're all suffering from what happens when the climax is reached and there's no falling action or denouement. Add an asspull / deus ex machina as well as the big bad turning into the legions of terror of a brand new big bad that acts like he's God.

It's bad writing

We Retakers were called this and worse before nonsense like this. People who want and work for chance normally are.
