Does the PC version support the X360 controller?  Going through Options it doesn't look like it does.  Maybe there is a parameter I can tweak?

I know why I feel bad...  By buying the PC version I have locked myself out of any resale value.

I thought major games today would all support the X360 controller?  Two bad assumptions discovered in one day.

Here's hoping I'll feel better soon.  Thanks.

Thanks. I'll get use to it. Funny though. It's easy to see how the game menu screen(s) are set up for a controller. Too bad.

There are some people working on a way to hack gamepad suport in, but as of right now, it's not complete. There are also programs out there that map mouse and keyboard buttons to your controller, but these ae not he best options, as you still have to click and drag the Normady around the galaxy map and it still use the PC gui for your weapon/powers menu. If you are interested in these, check out pinacle and xpadder.

You can't effectively score headshots on consoles with a pad, you should be happy you can join master PC... :>

There is nothing lame about wanting to play ME3 with a controller on a pc. Your post however..

Wow what's with the controller hate posts here. There's nothing wrong with using controllers, it comes down to personal preference and experience (there are people who can aim really well with them. I'm not one of them though :P). Personally I prefer using the mouse and keyboard, but it really depends on what type of game I'm playing.

Now back to the OP, I can understand your assumption that it would have controller support. Particularly since the game is available on consoles, and that a lot of games that come out these days have controller support. However you've just learnt the hard way that it's never a good idea to assume such things.

As wookieepelt mentioned you could try pinnacle game profiler or xpadder. In the past I've found xpadder to be really good and it was free (Though it doesn't appear to be free anymore)
You could also try using the free program AutoHotkey. An awesome program and doesn't take up much resources. Though I've never used it for my controller, it can be used with them. I suggest taking a look at http://www.autohotke...topic79274.html

When Bioware optimizes the ME series for mouse and keyboard, this will not be an issue.  As it stands, the interface is terrible for m+k, and we should have the option to play it with a control scheme that Bioware seems to actually prefer.

PC gaming is great because it offers choice. I played Lego Indiana Jones, Prince of Persia and some other games with a controller on PC. While I believe the mouse and keyboard are the best input method to play shooters, I understand others prefer controllers. Going to a console is not an option for some players. I personally get sick from playing games at low framerates. People who want controller input AND high framerates have to use tweaks or third party software to get their desired playthrough.

I'll be done with ME3 before BioWare finishes optimizing the game and decides to add controller support. It's not a problem. I test drove ME3 on a PS3 today and decided in this case I was happier with keyboard and mouse. But I've also played several games where you could use either in the game for what you preferred. Yes, I always thought PC gaming was great because it could offer choice but I've grown more sinister today. Companies like EA are clearly preventing any used resale value of PC games while the same games (all games) on the consoles run a great used game sales market. Likewise, I thought controllers and/or keyboard & mouse was a new PC 'standard' today--oh how wrong!

Here is a half decent thread about controllers etc.

Still working on it though, taking me a while because im pretty amateur at editing these things. Alot of trial and error really.

This is an old topic of no consequence to me now. BioWare and EA have made their mistakes.  I'm finishing up the game on the PC using keyboard and mouse from my easy-chair.
