I didn't remember that part until you posted it .. a show they made themselves .. I thought it was weird at the time for a western studio or something to make an anime.

Stop. Bringing. Memories. Back. I probably buried them in the back of my mind for a reason =]

Yup, Cartoon Network was truly unique back then. They are really a shell of their former selves (as I'm sure you already know, of course). They targeted multiple audiences in different blocks. They brought GREAT series over from Japan rather than just the cheapest they could find. When they came out with IGPX I remember thinking, "What next?". I was amazed by how great it was becoming.

Sums it up for me tonight.

Who said that quote? Its pretty good. I hope Toonami isn't on just because of Aprils Fools.

The guy who review this is the voice of Grunt....WOW even he admits its flawed.

That review is what got a bunch of us to jump on here tonight.  I was really surprised that they mentioned it, but it's become a pretty big deal.

Me too. But you know...

For tonight none of it matters. That Toonami is gone. Mass Effect 3's ending. The fact I have to function on little sleep tomorrow.

For now, just for now...I'm going to sit here like a 15 year old kid and get lost in this. Even better that I get to share that experience with mass effect fans.

The fact they brought back a Season 1 episode of big O for this is nothing short of fantastic.

Seriously they pulled out all the steps for this. Reminds me that what Cartoon Network used to be is still in there, somewhere.

I was just rewatching the review. I missed where Tom jokes that Shepard ought to get 2 or 3 LIs in exchange for saving the galaxy. Ha, I agree.

Yeah, I thought they'd just replay another season 2 episode like they have been since they get to air those for free since adult swim co-produced the second season.  They really took this thing seriously.

I kinda wish that they would show an old episode of Batman: TAS or Justice League Unlimited.

I doubt they will show anything after Blue Sub #6 though. It seems to be all anime tonight.

Gotta do what I did, buy the DVDs.  Those shows were too good for me not to pick those up.

They really did. Which is surprising. They haven't cut a single damn corner.

Yeah, some variety would have been nice for people who watched them for more than anime.

But for me this is perfect.

I dont know why, but i really stand by the thought that CN is showing episodes/shows space magic and endings that dont make sense / have closure / have speculation

oh of course haha I have all of Batman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond on DVD.

all I need are the justice league eps, but still it would be awesome for them to be on TV again. I mean I frequent Toonami Aftermath all the time, so this is nothing new.

Still its epic to see Tom v3 again in his muscular glory. Plus, the Mass Effect 3 review? SO ****ING PERFECT.

it basically was "fix the ending and fix the face import issue and you have yourself a 9.0"

Well, I must say they did pick some of the weirder episodes for some of the series. Or just weird series in general.

But if anything I'd say they picked to review Mass Effect 3 after they had already chosen the line-up. That is the most likely scenario if it had anything to do with it at all.

Still very unlikely though.

Find it a funny he said the ending was weak.

So awesome.

Oh yeah.  Steve Blum is one of the most prolific voice actors out there.  Lots of anime, lots of games, lots of American cartoons.
