I'm having a nostalgia overdose on this stuff tonight. The fact that they have new TOM spots was a surprised, that they didn't give ME3 a 10/10 GOTYAY was even more shocking. Especially even calling out how the ending is weak.

There goes my plans tonight, even if it's just for tonight, it's like I'm a kid again.

TOM reviewed Mass Effect 3 briefly. I haven't been able to find a video. He talked it up a bit and finished with "The ending is a bit weak, but supposedly there's another one coming out" yadda yadda. Hell, it was probably one of the most impartial reviews of the game I've seen in awhile.

Next on? Gundam God Damn Wing. Talk about nostalgia.

Gundam Wing was the best anime ever IMO, right up there with Blue Sub #6.

Oh you won't find me disagreeing. Mobile Suit Gundam Wing is my favorite in the Gundam series, one of my first watched anime's, and one of my favorites. If it's not number one than it's damn close. The older Gundam's are so much better. They actually feel like a war. The newer ones feel more like 1 on 1 arena matches sometimes. It's all about the super powerful suits.

I personally prefer the battles between the mass production models. Leo is still my favorite.

Toonami was a late night block of Cartoon Network that features some of, if not the best, anime from Japan along with other things.

TOM was the mascot of the block. He was a unique character with a story who introduced every show. He became so popular he got his own little mini-series episodes.

Toonami was a programing block for the best action cartoons ever made that ended, what, a few years back?  Tom was the genetic template Okeer based Grunt off of.

For about 10 years, Cartoon Network had a programming block that focused mainly on anime called Toonami, and its host was a CGI character named Tom, voiced by Steve Blum (you may better know him as the voice of Grunt).  They also had a late night version that was the predecessor of adult swim.  It ended a few years ago.  Needless to say, for a lot of us this is pretty fun.

Remember when trailers were about more than how many explosions there were? Sometimes I see those old ones and just think how much easier it was to know if you'd like something or not.

Steve Blum did the VO for Grunt in ME2-3.

Find it a funny he said the ending was weak.

Well he didn't get to be a part of it (lucky him).

Darn you Americans and your logical CN hosting [adult swim]. In England we currently get an episode of Metalocalypse, and two episodes of Robot Chicken... On TCM. Once a week, at a stupid hour. For some inexplicable reason, CN haven't shown anything from the adult swim schedules since the demise of their Toonami/adult swim themed channel, CNX around ten years ago.

On a side-note, I get the feeling that Seth Green's quite a fan of games (at least going by that really silly RC sketch of Cloud working for Sephiroth in a fast-food joint), so I wonder what his opinion on the ending is. I can't imagine for a moment that he would be happy with how Joker was portrayed in the non-VA scenes of him fleeing, especially as they had given him more dialogue. At least compared to the first game. For some reason, I barely recall him in the second so can't recall how much/little he had to say - I assume more than the first, less than the third.

That really sucks.  Someone needs to start streaming this **** so everyone can watch it.

I want to see Tom rip on ME3, lol.

The review was primarily positive.  He talks about a few of its shortcomings, but for the most part heartily endorses it.

also he actually gave it a really great review. Brought up a lot of the pretty obvious negatives like the face import issues and the ending, while also talking about the really great parts.
