That show has actually remained on adult swim. Adult Swim actually co-produced the second season, so they get to air it forever without any licensing fees. The down side is, they only ever show the second season.
Makes me glad that it's one of the many anime sereis I own on DVD.

I can't really decide which is the bigger deal for me. Toonami for a night, or that they actually brought up the ending.

But it was generally entertaining. Watching confusing things can be fun when you don't expect to understand them.
FLCL being a prime example.
