I'm wondering if this somehow affects uploading game data. Why is it that some people have this problem (if it can be called that) and some don't? Would I be correct in assuming it is because of the Ultimate Edition or is it just some bug on the site? I have also come across a profile where both Player Profiles have game data whereas only one of my player profiles have any game data.

I asked an EA Customer Service representative about this two years ago when I was reporting issues with DLC authentication and all it did was give me some reasons to tear out my hair- although the love I have for my hair prevented that from happening.

I did a google search for this and I also searched the boards- they were all at least a year old and there were no solutions to be found. Therefore, I'll be bumping this everyday till someone takes notice and tells me to STFU so I can use that opportunity to ask them why this is so.

Edit: tl;dr: Why do some people have multiple player profiles while others don't? Does this cause any known issues?

SInce you never actually identified what issue you're talking about, I don't think anyone will have a solution (or even a suggestion) for you...

Hmm.. Either I'm a terrible communicator or you didn't read properly. All I'm asking is why some people have multiple player profiles while some don't and whether this is an issue or not.

I have seen the issue too. I might be to do with registering UE after already having O only, but I can't be sure since the online profile for me is not at all important and I didn't check until quite some time after I got UE. Still, it's possible since I don't remember hearing about it from a non UE owner.  Remember. what may appear to be different profiles or character copies may have something to do with additional campaigns played, e.g. Awakenings, Golems of Amgarrak or Witch Hunt.

Personally, I think there have always been and still are bigger issues to do with in-game bugs!

This is true but since the devs have already told us there will be no addressing of the issues in Awakening, we can only worry so much about it. Besides, I only seek to understand what causes this and whether it contributes towards any of the authorization problems UE owners experienced previously. Apparently, the 1.05 patch has fixed most of that- but it never hurts to investigate. One can never tell what one may stumble upon.

hehe Ya know, it's the darndest thing.. For all my whining, I should have done a little bit more thinking. Is it possible that some people have two player profiles because- well, because one is from the Character Creator? It just hit me as a possibility and since we have no concrete knowledge as to why this is so- I'm just throwing in my two bits' worth. I *have* dabbled with the CC a long time ago and since I was told this is almost unique to PC player's personas I'm thinking there just might be a connection.

I'm trying to download the CC again so I can test this theory of mine. If it *is* what's causing this condition, I will post here verifying it and you can add it to some sort of FAQ if you wish. I have seen this question pop up from time to time and others may benefit from the knowledge.

I used the CC and do not have the problem. More, it can happen seemingly spontaneously when playing the game. It's a good theory but not quite good enough.

Darn.. I'm not getting that statue too easily am I? I'm not giving up though. I'll find other ways.
