How many people would like to see a spin off game series created from Fleet and Flotilla from the Mass Effect game series? I certainly would, in fact, it could even be made into an online mmo game, considering it's a multiplayer game in the mass effect world...sooo...who else thinks this would be an interesting/good idea?
I personally hope they do it.

I know I'm in a minority but online multi player anything leaves me absolutely cold. If we can't all be in the same room I'm afraid it just doesn't float my boat.

Even if it was Mass Effect style? I havent played the ME 3 multiplayer yet, but I can tell from what people think it's not that good, so throw that out and have the REGULAR mass effect way of playing a game, but made multiplayer style

That'd have much more appeal, and in fact the other day I said something about how remaking ME as a 1-3 player co-op game where up to two players could be the squadmates would be absolutely frickking awesome. But personally I'd still hate playing it online because it'd mean being physically isolated from the people you're playing it with. I'm fine being on my own playing a single player game but if I'm playing a game with someone else I want to be there in the room with them - if we have friends round to play poker we all sit around the same table, decide what ridiculous made up values the chips are worth this time, and then deal the cards, and we can break for a beer in the kitchen between hands and for the smokers to go have a quick ciggie in the garden. By comparison online poker can have real money involved but since it'd be just me and a computer screen it has less appeal than a visit to the dentist. Dining table poker with good friends played for fun with divvied up chips instead of money at stake wins every time.
This IMO is what computer games need to compete with, and while Nintendo's doing it well with the Wii everyone else is barely trying. Okay, I can't really imagine how ME could be done on consoles using one TV screen, even if you're lucky enough to have a huge TV, but so many people have notebook PCs with decent size screens and most home networks are wifi.... why couldn't there be a LAN party Mass Effect? For that matter you can network PS3s and XBox 360s, can't you? I don't know how feasible a multi-platform LAN party version of Mass Effect would be but that'd be my dream mutli-player game - me at this computer, Mrs PsiFive at hers and someone else who's been invited to bring their console over and plug it into the TV for the evening so we can all go off geth blasting together. Until that kind of thing's an option our multi-player gaming will probably remain poker at the dining room table or quiz nights at the pub and things like that, and since this seems to be a minority viewpoint and millions are happy with MMO I think we'll probably be playing poker and going to quiz nights for years yet. That's not a moan, just a reflection that different people get their fun different ways.
