After the defeat of the Reapers, the galaxy looks forward to a new era of peace. After spending a few years with his LI, Shepard is asked to rejoin the Specters. What at first was believed to be pirate attacks turns out to be something potentially more disastrous.
The second trilogy revolves around how a small band of Protheans succesfully escaped our galaxy and travelled to another, where they over a period of 50 000 years prepare to beat the Reapers through a straight-out military victory and then retake "their" galaxy.
Mass Effect: Starship Normandy
A game centered around the Normandy to a much greater extent than in the current games. You spend money upgrading the Normandy and take part in different missions, some centered around Normandys famous stealth capabilities, others around straight out dogfights and others around providing fire support.
Mass Effect: Colonies
A strategy game where you're supposed to lead the human expansion around the galaxy. Explore the galaxy, find planets worthy of colonising, build your colonies and defend them.

oh, other game company cylces tried (See ORIGIN Systems "we create worlds") with Ultima VII where the antagonist was EA.
soon after the game release they were bought by EA btw.
http://en.wikipedia....iki/Ultima_VII
DevelopmentElements of Ultima VII are inspired by game creator Origin Systems' conflicts with competitor (and later owner) Electronic Arts. Origin Systems' corporate slogan was 'We Create Worlds', while the main antagonist of the story - The Guardian - is presented as a 'Destroyer of Worlds'. The three evil 'Generators' created by The Guardian in the game took the physical shapes of the contemporary Electronic Arts Logo: a cube, a sphere, and a tetrahedron. Elizabeth and Abraham, two apparently benevolent characters who later turn out to be murderers, have the initials "E" and "A".[7]

Enjoy the writers improvised endings which disregards the entire franchises lore and genre.
