Damage and duration. And you've got to try clusters, it's plain awesome.

Damage and Duration. The other one with damage to barriers and armor's nice but I like not being so squishy on higher difficulties.

This.
At level 5 it does 70 something damage per Second. You can get a 75% bonus against armored foes. Thats somewhere between 122 and 123 damage (depending on the calc works). Or you can go longer duration and doing about 99 damage to every target per second.
To me its a rather non issue which of the two to pick, unless there is something in the calucation that would apply the +75% damage mod vs Armor and barriers to Biotic explosions.

Nothing more fun that roundhousing a Nemesis to death from full shields and it not even being able to shoot at you the whole time
It is weird, but even given how fragile it is, I still melee quite a lot, even on silver.

Its rocketed to my favourite class as well. After starting to do silver runs, I switched from a 6/6/6/5/3 build to a 6/3/6/5/6 build given I don't use pull all that much on silver. Reave + grenades or melee or Carnifex seems to do the job.

My only concern with that is the biotic explosion damage. Then again, do you pug a lot or play with biotic friends? I could see reave spam + another biotic making extra points into pull become not so useful as throwing them into better survivability.
I also find myself doing crazy melee roundhouse kicks and heavy melees to mess with Nemesis...love it so much.

Of course there could be more "soft" targets for my taste in the later levels.

Hmm... i went 6/6/3/5/6 ... since i only use granades on the harder targets (only having 2... or 3, doesn't exactly make the whole thing anything more than a backup plan for hard targets). And i specced the Pull for additional damage to lifted enemies which means when the explosion hits them, they have a damage debuff on them.

I recommend this build if you pug a lot (you will find groups that have no biotic players sometimes). If there aren't any other biotic classes, you'll need to use reave + cluster a lot which is ok but relies on you running to the ammo box relentlessly (this is also assuming you dont have grenade users on your team). As many have said earlier if you play with other biotics or friends pull is not needed at all b/c people will detonate your reave constantly (or at least the good players do) so 6/0/6/6/6
It's my fave class but I cannot carry a team on gold with this toon (unlike my Salarian Infiltrator), too fragile.

Drell adept is my favorite favorite of the adepts. Sadly, the sound glitch makes one of my friends that I play with constantly want to rage quit. So to be merciful I never play him. =(
They are going to fix this right?
and the other players can here it too? its not just me?

Depends. I usually play with a friend who's glued to her Asari so I can pretty much just reave and not pull anything but guardian shields. Even when she's not aroud I find lvl 3 pull to be sufficient. Area reave > cluster is the real deal though. The damage is crazy. You can take down an entire groups of rubbish while pasing by or chop off several blocks of armor. Also, when you're teamed up with other biotics there are usually grandes in the box left. Otherwise emergency thermal clip refill is always an option. Since taking the points out of fitness makes me nervous I'm all for 6/3/6/5/6 using a Phalanx instead of a Carnifex seeing how I don't shoot all that much anyway.

I keep 3 in Fitness for that extra bit.
As I said before, 6/6/6/5/3 is a great build if a bit squishy. You can spam combos, be it Pull > Reave or Reave > Grenade. You don't need the T6 evo in Drell Assassin, so that can free up some points to put elsewhere.
