For those who have problems with Shale and his skills -- I had the problem some described where Shale out of nowhere have his personal skills "disabled" in the action bar as well as the skill book, where the description of the skill is gone and when you do click on the action, animation is played but nothing is actually carried out.

This is the way I "fixed" the problem. It occurred during the middle of my play after I saved a game and then tried to reload it. For one, I know it wasn't the problem with the DLC because shale worked fine all along until this random moment. I tried reloading other saved games with shale and the same problem occurred. I think the problem lies in your network with the server, whereby somehow the internet connection is lost (thus the game thinks you do not have the DLC content enabled even though you do), therefore no shale abilities are available.

Solution: loading saved games don't work. Try exiting the current game to main menu and then resume. make sure you are logged in. Hope this helps
