I was contemplating resubbing to WoW so I have something to do for the rest of my spring break. This might have pushed me over the edge.

Except Blizzard's games are not on the same boat as Mass Effect. ME is (was?) a choice based personal story, an RPG. It was not that important if shooting part was good or less good. Blizzard games are about gameplay. Be it hundreds or thousands of hours spent grinding stuff in WoW, over 9000 multiplayer matches in Starcraft or endless loot farming in Diablo. Blizzard universe is more about lore. Lore is not same thing as story. Most of ME fans would probably care less if gameplay was lame in ME3 as long as entire story including the ending was awesome. Same as most Blizzard customers will ignore plot issues and just focus on more grind.Mechler wrote...
Well Blizzards story contradicts itself every chance it get's and they are now releasing a wow expansion of fat kung-fu fighting beer drinking pandas and choose as end boss a character who has the same amount of hate as Knaak's favorite (Garrosh and Varian). So I think Blizz should just shut up and make jokes about themselves.
Draenei, Black Temple, Blue Dragonflight
Anyway. Blizzard makes nice jokes, but most of them are released as games. I did play wow til lthis october, but they stopped making actual quality games a decade ago. I'd sooner buy 10 copies of Mass Effect 3 than one of Mists of Kungf Fu Pandaria or Diablo re-invent the wheel(Not an april fool's joke. I'm being serious).

Man, after ME3 I so do hope that Diablo III will have nice ending. It cant be worst, can it?
Thats silly......assuming that the diablo story will actually conclude at the end of D3
We have to wait for the inevitable expansion pack for d3 after heart of the swarm is released.

Well if they can resurrect the sceleton king and make him ten times bigger....diablo story will never end. Blizzard stuff has lists of contradictions as lore and a continuos line of retcons as story. Good thing with Kung Fu Panda Diablo 3 Star Craft and Titan, they still have time to make offensive jokes

Yeah, there were problems with draenei, BT and blue dragons retcons. But I shall keep my point. Most of Wow fans would just treat those issues with a "lol-lore" remark. They would be glad they can reroll a sexy Space Goat and that there are lots of new loot pinatas in BT. Story consistency was not the main goal of WoW (although I do not deny that some people indeed care about it). It is however the main aspect of Mass Effect. In WoW most people couldnt care less when some lore retcon would get into game but for example some glaring class balance issue would be reason of lots of rage. On the other hand most ME gamers would not give a rat's ass about class balance in ME yet the story is whats important in greatest way. If Blizzard would fubar their gameplay they would sink. Story is a minor issue. Now reverse this for Mass Effect case and we have a problem.Mechler wrote...

I would have to agree with this, blizzard and bioware are on completely different ends of the spectrum when it comes to dealing with stories in their games.
For blizzard gameplay will always precedence over lore/story in most cases, so if they screw something up they can re-balance/patch the problem. Sadly the reverse doesn't really work out as well in the case of bioware
EDIT: Did blizzard also take a poke at valve with "
Tens of hundreds of thousands of unlockable hats! "
on their US site?

I love you!

There are endings in Blizzard games?
And it seems your primary concern towards MoP is a little biased about the fact that they choose Pandarens, Mechler. There is nothing wrong with the Pandarens; don't make racist assumptions based off their appearance; in fact, they're rather impressive. From the news I'm getting about Beta; many people are giving praise to what Blizzard has done with them. Your opinions is yours of course.
